Seems like I remember sauteed chopped onion, sour cream and chopped bacon, but I only had them one time.

Applesauce and a bottle of Ketchup.

My wife has finally given in to my desire to have a bottle of Ketchup around - just in case. It makes anything tasty.

My sister made these last week and we had applesauce with them. Have to say though that I loved them plain. They tasted soooo good.

Grated onions are in the latkes, but not added as an accompaniment.

If you are using ketchup, they are hash browns, not latkes. :)
If you are using bacon pieces, we can assume these are not kosher latkes.

Were in or near TV can you get latkes?I had them twice in TV but they were fried mashed potatoes.Not like the ones my Mom made or the latkes at the church picnics in Northeast Pa.About once a month my Mom made latkes and split pea soup for Friday dinner.I will travel for a good latke.
