I'm a hard core conservative on fiscal issues but middle of the road on social issues. I was leaning towards Christie until I heard him take the no new taxes pledge. I find that ignorant with a 19 trillion dollars deficiet and an imaginary S.S. trust fund that is taking in less than it is paying out. Today Rubio says he would shut down newly opened Cuban embassy if he is elected. If I was forced to vote today it would be for Bernie as he is the only honest person I've heard to date regardless that he is out in left field. I think he cares about the country. My party is concerned with getting elected only. As a conservative, that, I think is sad as hell.

Methinks you are a troll.
No way, a conservative in ANYTHING votes for Mr Sanders.
And you got your parties mixed up. As Clinton burns, the Dems are looking for anyone to run. Nice slate of GOPers however......lots of choice on issues, etc.
But based on what you are saying in your post, you are just joshing.

A vote for Bernie Sanders would be akin to cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Let me get this straight. You are concerned about a 19 trillion dollar debt but, would vote for a socialist who is great at spending other people's money until it runs out.

You mentioned the debt therefore I assume you are concerned about it. You also indicated that you are a "hard core conservative on fiscal issues". If this is the case, then you can't seriously consider voting for a democrat. They really don't believe there are any consequences to an increasing debt and are content increasing the size of the federal government.

You can call me a troll but I'm a grandfather who can't believe what so called conservatives are willing to do to future generations. I also believe we should be paying our own way. If that is being a troll, I'm guilty.

It sounds like you are looking for somebody who will "Make America Great Again". Donald Trump is your guy. He will balance the budget, make the military great again, replace Obamacare with fantasticare, go after China and Japan, cherishes women, will build a wall that nobody will get over or under, and many, many other promises.
Trump is also pretty liberal on social issues, at one time supporting single-payer healthcare for all and a woman's right to choose.
Time to get on the bandwagon. Trump is already naming his cabinet.

Don't count out Ben Carson. He will accomplish all of the above and may be more electable. Carson, Fiorina, and Trump are all on my "go" list, and best of all they are non-politicians. Now if we can aggressively replace Congress with non-politicians we may be able to overcome our biggest problem ~~~ being "politically incorrect". :crap2::crap2:

They may sound like what you want to hear but Farina, Carson, and Trump would all get eaten up in Washington and spit out like a seed.
Carson has absolutely no corporate experience. Farina drove HP into the ground. Trump is a buffoon who will go third party and guarantee a win for the Democrats.
Jeb Bush is sliding downhill. Walker is anti-woman. Heck, the Democrats win with anybody they run!

Fetal Tissue Research Critic Ben Carson Conducted Fetal Tissue Research (http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/ben-carson-fetal-tissue-research?utm_content=buffer2a67e&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer)
Would have agreed with you about Ben Carson until this report came out stating that he took part in fetal tissue research all while he was condemning the practice. Also, he is getting about one tenth the attention that Donald Trump is and doubt that he has a billion dollars to spend on his campaign, like the Donald has.

Then you are "guilty" as charged. Try using Google to look up the definition of "conservative." If you are truly a grandfather (doubtful) and really concerned for the future, then you wouldn't be advocating FLY TODAY, Pay Tomorrow. No true conservative is that naive.
Do I smell a desperate troll?

What I said was Bernie Saunders was the most honest person running, yes he is in left field but before you can move ahead you need an honest person at the top. I just haven't seen that from my party. If I had to pick an honest candidate today it would be still him. Yes I understand he is a socialist. He would raise taxes but he is upfront and challenging the status quo. This is needed to have an honest dialog about this countries future.

This particular poster, if I have identified correctly does not EVER deal with elaboration of anything. General is the best you will get along with polls.
And of course making fun of people with their name

Bernie Sanders has never run a negative ad. He runs on his own beliefs. Given the age on politics we live in, just call him Honest Bernie. But don't call him President Bernie. If he gets elected, literally nothing will get down for four years.
Why isn't John Kasich name being mentioned here? Trump is just a salesmen, who is peddling nonsense.

This is the Farina/Fiorina poster.
You have not identified by correctly. I have never made fun of people's names - I 'm guessing you mean politicians, as we are all Guest.
Nor have I quoted polls. At this stage of the game, polls are meaningless.
Again, I ask: Could you elaborate of what conservatives are willing to do to future generations?

How about Ben Carson working with human fetal tissue for scientific research and now saying he thinks that is terrible?
When is he going to stop lying about his past?

WOW...your presentation and grasp of the facts is just amazing and so far from the truth.
It happened, the incident that you are trying to attack with, I think about 23 years ago, was his job cataloging fetus already aborted (a DEAD specimen) and recording that information.
He thinks ABORTION is terrible.
You know, if you are looking to attack someone, do it with facts and accuracy.

""Bear this in mind about pathologists," said Carson. "Regardless of what their ideology is, when they receive tissue, they prepare the tissue. They label it. They mark how it got there. Regardless of whether it’s from a fetus or someone who’s 150 years old, they bank them in tissue blocks. Other people doing comparative research need to have a basis. When pathologists receive specimen, their job is to prepare the specimen. They have no job opining on where the tissue came from."
There was no contradiction between this science and Carson's pro-life views, he said. "My primary responsibility in that research was when I operated on people and obtained the tissue," said Carson, who noted that he has not used fetal tissue samples since then. "This has everything to do with how it’s acquired. If you’re killing babies and taking the tissue, that’s a very different thing than taking a dead specimen and keeping a record of it."
Asked if Planned Parenthood should cease its fetal tissue distribution, Carson demurred. He still favored defunding the group, but would not call for the end of fetal tissue research so long as the fetal tissue was available.
"I may not be completely objective about Planned Parenthood, because I know how they started with Margaret Sanger who believed in eugenics," he said. "But it would be good for the public to understand this whole aspect of medical research."
Ben Carson: No apologies for 1992 fetal tissue research - The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2015/08/13/ben-carson-no-apologies-for-1992-fetal-tissue-research/)

A liberal is not going to vote for Carson anyway, so I find it humorous that they think they can send a troll into a conservative conversation and not be immediately recognized as a sheep in a lion's den. :a20:

ON THIS FORUM....
It appears that if they come after the personalities, attack the person, make fun of their names then nobody will talk about Ms Clinton, who this weekend actually and unbelievably made jokes about her national security screw ups.
If you go after these other folks personally, they hope you will forget Ms Clinton and her enormous character flaws.

Saying Clinton has a few character flaws, is like saying the loser of demolition derby has a few paint scrapes.
I was looking for a bit of sweat when she was joking about her felonious national security violations, but I then realized that her recent makeover was done in an auto body shop. Her makeup won't run when it's airbrushed on using acrylic paint and gorilla hair body putty.

Seeing you headed for the gutter first I will follow you. The current direction is what is taking our grandchildrens futures. You suggest I'm a "troll with no grandchildren" and I would wager you are someone who is collecting some sort of unfunded benefits and receiving medical benefits that are being billed directly to our grandchildren and doesn't want to face it. Being a conservative also means paying for what the politicians we elected spent whether it is in our personal favor or not. Much easier to call someone a troll then make the tough sacrifices that face us now isn't it. How would you get us out of this mess, print more money or borrow it from China?

Not the poster being addressed, but why would you do that?
How does that contribute to the 'discussion' we're having?
IMO, being conservative means electing politicians who will tighten the budget, and being the long process of digging out of our budget hole. That's how I'd start getting us out of this mess.

I am not prepared to make a decision on who will win my vote until I enter that voting booth. Hers is what I am certain of now. i will not vote Democrat because any democratic candidate that wins this party's nomination is going to have to hook are left to earn it from their socialistic Establishment.
I will not vote Bush, Christie,Huckabee, Santorium, Trump, Kaisch, Perry, Paul for nomination. However I will support the Republican's nominee because a no vote is a vote for a Democrat.
I am watching Carly Fiorina (my favorite pick to date) followed by Marco Rubio and then Scott Walker
Carly Fiorina took the reins at HP at a very bad time and I believe held her own. While a CEO may be the CEO they have a Board of Directors to deal with

It's way too early to vote for a nominee. I was impressed with some of the candidates' answers in the debate. Some better than others. But, I'll wait until the liberals get done doing the research for me, and then delve into them in more detail. At this time, I favor Kasich, Walker, Rubio, and Fiorina. Not necessarily in that order. My favorite is Huckabee, but I am pragmatic enough to know that he won't make it. I believe he is the BEST choice, but like I said, I am realistic.
Anyone that makes it to nomination will get my vote in the general, regardless. The Democrats have no candidates to consider at this time, if I was even so inclined. Hilary and Bernie have no chance at all. The only way any Democrat will win this time, is if they can pull the black and Independent vote. The black vote will be thin and Hilary has no chance of getting the Independent vote. Knowing this, the Dems probably won't even come out to vote. This will be a historical light vote on the left side.
I predict that we will have a Republican president regardless of which one receives the nomination. Unless the emperor deems himself a third term by executive declaration. :bigbow:
