Anybody know about where to get an affordable Hotel room near the Villages or outside during Thanksgiving week??? Does the Villages have places to rent for out of town guests?? Thanks

Wint, In the Spanish Springs area, check the Comfort Suites, Holiday Inn Express and Towne Place Suites by Marriott. On Highway 466 check out the Hampton Inn. At Lake Sumter Landing, the Waterfront Inn is very nice. And if you want to stay in the Brownwood area, check out the Sleep Inn and Suites on Main Street in Wildwood.

I have stayed at all of these properties while visiting The Villages. All of these properties were very nice. The Waterfront Inn is probably the most upscale of the group. If you have AAA Motor Club or you are an AARP member, these properties usually offer AAA and AARP discounts. Good luck, and I hope you enjoy your visit to The Villages.

If you are visiting friends or relatives who live in The Villages, they should be able to get you a discount at The Waterfront Inn. Great location in Sumter Landing.

It's easy to get a house rental for a week at that time of year. That's what we do when our kids come for the holidays. Rent a two bedroom villa that includes a cart for around $500.
