Don't do as I do, do as I say. It was just a small loan, I didn't mean to forget to tell anyone.

So, to the OP, is there a point or subject to the one line opinion? Is there some reference point or link that you forgot to provide? Or, maybe this is a waste of attention.

The other post is about his "birther" status. This post is about his not reporting a loan of 1M from Wall Street, but I wouldn't expect you genius Tea Party people to know how to read. Just blame things on the liberal media and one of the best Presidents ever, President Obama.

This should have been linked on the first post. Then it wouldn't require mind reading to figure out the subject.
When I was reading the article, I thought it had come from the Huffington Post instead of the Washington Post. I guess they are about the same.
A lot of liberals seem to be getting real nervous. So nervous that they are concentrating on Cruz's every detail. That is a good thing, though. And I am saying that as a conservative. I want our future leaders to be completely vetted, so that we don't end up with an inept amateur like the one currently taking up valuable space and wasting oxygen in the White House. But, come on liberals, how about vetting Trump also? Or, are you so afraid of him that you are hiding your children before opening up on him? I think the liberals are scared of Trump.

Is there a link to, or a reference point for that post? Sorry, but I am not a mind reader or a liberal fairy so I have to rely on some sort of subject for the first post in a thread.

What about the "don't consider the

Borrowing $1M and not reporting it is a totally separate issue than the "birther" issue and this post is about that problem for Cruz.
Trump started the "birther" issue on Cruz when Cruz caught and passed him in some polls.
Trump has been vetted and is falling in the polls. He is the amateur with no government experience and has gone bankrupt 4 times.
I guess you have been asleep while the POTUS created jobs, brought back the stock market, got millions of people health insurance, etc.
This post is about Cruz and borrowing money and not reporting it. Like the rest of the Tea *******, you change the subject when you can't respond to the OP.

If you read my comment, I did comment on the information contained in that article. Even though it is slanted, I agreed that vetting the candidate is a good thing. My comment about the slant of the article and the comparison of it to the Huffington Post, was just an observation/opinion. If the loan that Cruz obtained is an issue, then it should be examined. I also believe that Hillary's involvement with her email regarding private donations and it's relevance to it being on a work related server to be important too. I believe that Hillary's finances should also be examined.
I have no objection to the candidates being vetted, and never have. As long it is legitimate vetting and not a witch hunt, such as giving a haircut type hazing in high school, or lying by the head Senator about someone not paying their taxes.

Don't be so sensitive, and quit taking it out of context. The comment said he wasn't a "mind reader or liberal fairy" meaning he could not discern what the OP was shooting for by reading the OP's mind or waving his magic wand about. That doesn't appear to be calling anyone a name. Wow!

Sorry, but that doesn't work either. Wikipedia isn't always that accurate. You called me a Nazi and I corrected you. Nazis were socialists. Hitler was a socialist. Socialism is the left, not the right. They are extreme and that is exactly what you liberals/socialists want for America. So, don't use your socialism to label me. Being conservative has nothing to do with your radical need to change America into Europe. You really ought to travel outside of the U.S. I have lived overseas for about half my life, in different countries. I have seen the elimination of the middle class in socialist countries. They have re-labeled the lower class is all they have done. Socialist countries have a lower class and the elite class(wealthy). And this is what you wish on America. Our military has fought wars against the socialists and communism, and now you liberals, cowards want invite it into our country. You have no right to ruin this country. If you don't like this country, and prefer Europe then move to Europe But, don't sell your home because you will come crying back to us in short order.
If you don't call people names than you won't have to defend your ignorant statements. If you think my use of liberal is a slur, then maybe you should think about it. Your party is welcoming with open arms, SOCIALISM. Bernie Sanders is welcome in the Democrat party. Hillary and Debbie Whatshername can't even tell you the difference. They were left-wing socialists. Yes, the National Socialist Workers Party of Germany, otherwise known as the Nazi Party, was indeed socialist, and it had a lot in common with the modern left. Hitler preached class warfare, agitating the working class to resist ``exploitation'' by capitalists -- particularly Jewish capitalists, of course. Their program called for the nationalization of education, health care, transportation, and other major industries. They instituted and vigorously enforced a strict gun control regimen. They encouraged pornography, illegitimacy, and abortion, and they denounced Christians as right-wing fanatics.

Unlike the non-answers to the question that Dems give to the difference between a Democrat and a socialist, I know that answer....no difference. Funny thing is that you liberals are offended by the label of "liberal" but embrace the label of "socialist." When is the last time ANY American endorsed socialism? I doubt even FDR, another socialist would publicly welcome the label of 'socialist."

What world are you in? The problem that you have is anyone that is not far right is a liberal. Every liberal is a socialist. Having social programs doesn't make you a socialist. You think that putting tags on people to demean them is perfectly acceptable.
We live in a free country. However if you don't agree with everything we put forward, you should shut up, and accept it. So, the far right wants a dictator as president, so he will get everything he wants without compromising anything. If you not a white American, you should leave. Blacks are nothing but trouble. Hispanics are probably illegals, and should be deported. Asians work for nothing, and bring down wages for everybody. Indians can stay, because we love gambling. They also stay on the reservations that we provided for them. Does that about cover it?

You covered most of it, but don't forget about the Republican war on women -
the extreme pro-life stances of some of the candidates that say that abortion is wrong even in cases of rape and incest; Republican efforts to redefine rape to reduce access to abortions; the refusal to support a minimum wage increase for low wage workers, the majority of whom are women; Cruz voted against the Violence Against Women act and has even targeted contraceptives.

Typical liberal rhetoric. You are so predictable that it's tiring.
Republican war on woman? Tell that to Hillary.
Extreme pro-life? Exactly how do you define extreme? Is there such a thing as extreme pro-life? Ooops, maybe wanting to ban executions of murderers? Woops, that's a liberal thing. That don't count. Let's see, if we don't agree to murdering innocent babies and parting them out for research, that's extreme? You do know that your argument about rape and incest is stupid, don't you? Less than 1% of abortions are due to rape or incest. So, there goes that argument. Oh well, next...........
Refusal to support FEDERAL minimum wage increase? You are correct. Only an idiot would not see the difference between State minimum wages and a blanket, across the board Federal min. wage. If you are not careful with regulating min. wages, you end up putting thousands of employees out of work. Do you wish to put thousands of FULL-TIME workers out of work?
Not that I want to defend Cruz because I have no intention of voting for him anyway, but why do you believe that the taxpayer should pay for contraception? Is it that expensive that you can't afford it? Am I suppose to pay for someone else to have sex without regards to responsibility? Would you like the taxpayer to provide you with your mate also? Are you that needy that you feel the gov has to "fix you up?" Tell me, have you no self-respect or pride? Do you really NEED the gov to be your nanny? Really?? I will pray for you.
Here's how it totals out:
Liberals:
Abortion = taxpayers must pay for it, even if they are against it.
Contraception - taxpayers must pay for it even if they are against it.
College Education = Taxpayers must pay for it.
Health Care insurance = must pay for it even if you don't need it, or go to jail
Unemployment = Two year paid vacation because you don't like the job offers
Mortages = Must be forgiven because the value of your home went down, along with the value of your car.
Free Phones = Taxpayer must pay for it, because everyone else has one.
Guns = liberals don't like them so no one should have one.
Religion = liberals don't believe so we should ban it, except for Muslims.
Wealthy = No one should be better than anyone else so liberals want to confiscate their money and give it to the government to pay for five million dollar vacations to Hawaii.
Drugs = legalize them because the addict is going to get them anyway.
Pubic vulgarity = You have to be open minded, freedom of speech unless it isn't PC to women, ethnic groups or sexual deviants.
Did I leave anything out that you liberals don't NEED?
Republicans:
Guns =if we don't like them, we don't buy them
Religion = If we don't believe, we don't go to church
Wealthy = we admire them and want to be wealthy by having the opportunity to achieve on our own without the gov saying we can't.
Abortion = we believe in life of the innocent and don't believe we should be force to subsidize the murder of babies.
Contraception = Pay for it yourself or don't have sex.
Unemployment = If you lose a job, then you take two or three until you find the one you want.
Free Phones = Phones are over rated. Buy your own if you want one
Mortgages = You signed for it, you pay for it. No execuses
College = Get a job and pay for it yourself. It's not my obligation to pay for yours. I have my own family to support.
Unemployment = six months is more than plenty to find another job. A year or more becomes a vacation. Get off your behind and take a job. You don't like the job, then do something about it.
Public vulgarity? Keep your dirty mouth to yourself. You embarrass yourself as well as your family. Grow up.
Drugs = They lead to addiction. Liberals really want to legalize them so that they can collect tax on them. Comparing them to alcohol is comparing a bad idea with another bad idea.
So, you want to know where the scale settles?
Liberals = equal more gov control = socialism = socialism + removal of religion = communism. Not the American way.
Cruz is not a socialist. His father is a moot point because we are not voting for his father. Just like we didn't vote for Obama's Muslim/socialist father or his communist mentor, Frank Davis or his friend domestic terrorist bomber, Bill Ayers or his white hating preacher Rev. Wright. Or his wife that finally loved America once her husband was elected.
Does that make you feel better? You weren't planning to vote for Cruz either, so it's all a moot point.

I don't know if I will still be around when the Socialists win another election. It may be a long time from now. First they have to secret some more unwitting illegals in, bribe them to vote for them, and then make it illegal for Republicans and Independents to vote. And we all know that this would entail work. Something that doesn't come easy for liberals. So, no I probably won't be leaving anytime soon. Although, I do like another socialist country, Australia. If I have to go socialist, it may as well be a good country to finish up my life in.
Naw, I think it is going to be interesting to see how Trump stirs things up in D.C. when he is crowned. I have a feeling that it will make for some good TV viewing. I might have to upscale to a 70" 4K size.

Thanks for lobbing a softball at me. Where did the good old boys run to when civil rights laws were passed in the 60's? That wouldn't be the party of Lincoln would it? Were have they stayed in the last 50 years? That wouldn't be the party of Lincoln would it?
What happened when the party of Lincoln states were told that they could now change voting laws in their state without prior approved. South Carolina instituted voter id laws that were directed against minorities, and did it in record breaking time. Texas followed suit. Which party controls both states? That wouldn't be the party of Lincoln would it?
It appears that the change in party didn't change the attitude for these good old boys. The Republican now owns them. So, good luck to you.
You can't be bragging about your female, black, and Latino candidates? I can't believe anyone is that stupid. Your female candidate is being completely ignored. Is the under card like telling someone to walk five steps behind you? Your black candidate is one of a token few in your party. He is so clueless that he wouldn't get the majority of black votes. Your Latino candidates are running away from the race as fast as they can. If they support a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, they wouldn't get any votes in the primaries. You have a few Christians. Praise the lord! There really is a God in heaven.
The liberals or socialists as you like to call them want to run everything. Government control of industry. An end to capitalism! You can say this with a straight face! If it didn't come from a far right Republican, that would sound crazy. Have no fear, the far right will stop this from happening, because they are excellent at fixing problems that only exist in their minds. Reality is a concept that is totally foreign to them.
61 votes to repeal Obamacare, and one gets through the Senate by a procedural maneuver, this is the Republicans idea of getting something done. They sit there and clap for a job well done. Isn't it nice to get paid for doing nothing? They want to cut social programs. Maybe they should start by cutting their own pay.

Refresh my memory, who was our first socialist president? Since you have declared that Hillary is a socialist boarding on communist, you might be leaving in the very near future. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Australia may not let you in. You know how much that they hate the far right.
If Trump gets elected, you will need a 70" TV just to fit his head on the screen. You have to make sure that bright orange is one of the colors. It took Trump a long time to get the color right. How the hell do you go from bark brown to bright orange? Don't worry; it is real hair. There isn't anything phony about Trump. He has a habit of toning down his inflammatory talk, but his hair he will never tone down.
Very president's hair changes to grey during his presidency. You want to bet dollars to donuts that if Trump gets elected his hair color won't change?

You insist on telling me that I am threatening on leaving the country for some reason. The only troll on here that has suggested this, is you. Australia was mentioned (by me as an alternative socialist country) the last time you suggested that I might want to leave the country. No one has threatened to leave, but for some unknown reason you seem to be running with it. They have medication for that ailment you seem to be prone to.
I have never been interested in the president's hair. Sybil, perhaps one of your personalities wants to comment on the color of his ties also?
If what you say is true regarding Trump's head size then I suppose my TV is adjusted just fine. After all, the screen already had to be large enough to accommodate Obie's big ears..:D

I don't know where you want to go with this but if you are speaking of the slavery issue, you might want to check the percentage of Democrats that have always been against every slavery and equal rights issue where votes were required.
By the way, as much as you are ashamed of being called a liberal or a reality check with the socialist label, I am not insulted when you associate me with the right wing label. For some reason you liberals seem to think that "far right, right wing and Tea party" are a slur. I consider it a compliment, thanks.

Dear Guests:
Unfortunately for America, and hence all of us, this thread's content mirrors the decent in Americans ability to carry on civil debate....and I include some the the presidential candidates.
First a lawyer in Texas filed a lawsuit concerning the "natural born" issue related to Ted Cruz's birth. His personal political choice he claims is Bernie Sanders. Frankly I hope there are more lawsuits because for the protection of America and because this issue has been raised at least three times in the last 10 years or so the definition of natural born which has never been adjuicated needs to be defined once and for all.
As to Cruz himself. He is well rehearsed. He is an excellent debater and has been from his high school days. He uses his evangical roots to add to the drama of his debating skills. He is an excellent Constitutional lawyer (but that was also the claim made by others for Obama).
On the other hand I sense that he is too slick and he changes course on a dime (for/against issues to gain popular vote). I see him as divisive. I don't like that he gave up his citizenship in 2014. To me that is not American enough but the act of an opportunist.
I don't care what happened in the past. I am trying to focus on each and every presidential candidate to decide as best as once can who will represent America's interests the best? Who will advance policies and make decisions that regain ground lost in the last eight years? Who will step into this position ready willing and able to perform? Everything else is just noise and idle chatter to satisfy the news media printed or digital form.
Personal Best Regards:

I completely agree with you. However, I will make a couple of points, not to argue but to add.
The point of a politician is to represent us, so I can't really fault one for changing course, IF it is really for the majority of his voters. Big IF.
Bill Clinton also gave up his citizenship when he was avoiding the draft when he left the country to attend school in Europe during the Vietnam conflict.
Not that this has much relevance to Cruz.
But, I do agree on how "slick" Cruz appears. He is a good debater, but would he be a good president? He can't even seem to get alone with his peers in congress. How would he work with democrats? Perhaps he would be another Obama?

We have already proven, twice a good debater/speaker/story teller can be elected.
Perhaps Cruz inability to get along with his peers in congress is the most positive reasonong for him being a better candidate....he does not typically follow the cronyism crowd that are there to protect their own self interests.
He would work with democrats about as effectively as Obama did and does.....not at all.

I am not going anywhere with the slavery issue. The person that associated Democrats with slaves apparently doesn't think that nothing has changed in 150+ years. Those Democrats that support racial segregation prior to 1960 civil rights laws are now Republicans. Is there any doubt that is the case now?
I am not ashamed of anything. I know what I am. The labels of liberal or socialist are put on people to demean them. That might fly here in the Villages, but in the real world being a liberal or a progressive isn't the same as being a socialist. They are just words anyway.

Do you recall what you write? Or the second that you write it, it leaves your brain. How many times have people here called Clinton and Sanders socialist? Have you ever disputed this? In your mind, they are socialists. They both have a very real chance of becoming president in the very near future.
Trump, and Cruz are leading in the Republican primary. If either of these is the nominee, they might not get support from the own party. You think that independents like me are going to flock to these people? There is medication for that, and very strong medication.
If it is Clinton or Sanders against Cruz or Trump, I will be voting for Donald Duck. Is it a wasted vote? Yes, it is. It will be the same as the waste of time it will be for the next four years, if one of these four gets elected.
Keep calling people names. Childish behavior requires a childish response. Here is my childish response. I am rubber. You are glue. Everything that you say about me bounces off me, and sticks to you. I think calling yourself a troll may be a little harsh, but that is only me. I am a liberal so I feel sorry for the little people.

I find it absolutely astounding that you do not realize that Sanders IS a socialist and during their first debate, Hillary was trying to out-socialize him. The reason we call you socialists is because you ARE socialists and we just want to remind you of that fact. EVERYTHING you espouse defines socialism. Everything that has been pushed in at least the last seven years, is socialism. Calling today's Democrats socialists or liberals is no different from you calling Republicans, conservatives. I don't consider being called a conservative to be a slur. And when you attempt to call us Tea Party (or worst) as a slur, I consider it to be a compliment. Even though, I am not a member.
And I give little credibility to those that attempt to hide under the guise of being an Independent. Most of the time, they are just too embarrassed or ashamed to admit that they are Democrat/liberals, hiding in the closet. Just like my brother that is registered as an Independent and has never voted for anyone but Republicans. He is a Republican that won't admit it.
I have no fear right now that Hilary or Sanders will be elected. Sanders can only get the young vote, IF he can get them to turn out to vote. He will get NO votes in the South. Hillary is lower in the polls than Sanders and is losing credibility every day, and is obviously in a panic. She has lowered herself to admit that she can not do it without her husband and daughter. That has to be humiliating for her. And after this election, we will never have to worry about her again.
Yes, Hillary and Sanders are equally socialists, even if only one of them admits it. When asked, Hillary didn't even know the difference between a Democrat and a socialist. The head of the DNC, Debbie Whatshername was asked twice, on different occasions and still wasn't able to respond. So, you go ahead and tell me why you think that the Democrat party has not morphed into the Socialist party.....other than name.
If you think that being called a liberal or socialist is a slur, many others consider it a descriptor. I wonder if Hillary will be offended at being called a criminal after she is indicted. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and ........then maybe it IS a duck.
If you back Sanders, then you are a socialist. If you back Hillary, you are liberal. IMO they are both socialists. I've seen your Democrat label on a bumper sticker. It was an old one.

You might want to check out the history on the equal rights amendments. You can stomp your feet all you wish and deny your party's history, trying to call the original KKK Republicans, etc, but you are only fooling yourself.
Here's something to think about:
The Democrats:
Democrats fought to expand slavery while Republicans fought to end it.
Democrats passed those discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws.
Democrats supported and passed the Missouri Compromise to protect slavery.
Democrats supported and passed the Kansas Nebraska Act to expand slavery.
Democrats supported and backed the Dred Scott Decision.
Democrats opposed educating blacks and murdered our teachers.
Democrats fought against anti-lynching laws.
Democrat Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, is well-known for having been a “Kleagle” in the Ku Klux Klan.
Democrat Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, personally filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for 14 straight hours to keep it from passage.
Democrats passed the Repeal Act of 1894 that overturned civil right laws enacted by Republicans.
Democrats declared that they would rather vote for a “yellow dog” than vote for a Republican, because the Republican Party was known as the party for blacks.
Democrat President Woodrow Wilson, reintroduced segregation throughout the federal government immediately upon taking office in 1913.
Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s first appointment to the Supreme Court was a life member of the Ku Klux Klan, Sen. Hugo Black, Democrat of Alabama.
Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s choice for vice president in 1944 was Harry Truman, who had joined the Ku Klux Klan in Kansas City in 1922.
Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt resisted Republican efforts to pass a federal law against lynching.
Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt opposed integration of the armed forces.
Democrat Senators Sam Ervin, Albert Gore, Sr. and Robert Byrd were the chief opponents of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
Democrats supported and backed Judge John Ferguson in the case of Plessy v Ferguson.
Democrats supported the School Board of Topeka Kansas in the case of Brown v The Board of Education of Topeka Kansas.
Democrat public safety commissioner Eugene “Bull” Connor, in Birmingham, Ala., unleashed vicious dogs and turned fire hoses on black civil rights demonstrators.
Democrats were who Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the other protesters were fighting.
Democrat Georgia Governor Lester Maddox “brandished an ax hammer to prevent blacks from patronizing his restaurant.
Democrat Governor George Wallace stood in front of the Alabama schoolhouse in 1963, declaring there would be segregation forever.
Democrat Arkansas Governor Faubus tried to prevent desegregation of Little Rock public schools.
Democrat Senator John F. Kennedy voted against the 1957 Civil rights Act.
Democrat President John F. Kennedy opposed the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King.
Democrat President John F. Kennedy, had Dr. King wiretapped and investigated by the FBI.
Democrat President Bill Clinton’s mentor was U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright, an Arkansas Democrat and a supporter of racial segregation.
Southern Democrats opposed desegregation and integration.
If you find anything wrong with this list, feel free to correct me. I'm just responding to your comment regarding the Republicans being against minorities. I really don't care that much about the distant past and think that the slavery issue is beaten to death anyway. I had nothing to do with it, nor did my parents or grandparents. As a matter of fact, my family are immigrants that came over AFTER the civil war. I am taking no responsibility for you-all's minority problem.
