my wife and me are both 58 and would like to move to tv,can anyone tell me what are total monthly expense are on a 200k home, that is everything but food.i know this maybe a little rude in asking but we would like to come down a few years early and would like to know if we could swing it. the cost of health ins. kind of kills my budget. thanks

And......we found the cost of living sheet to be pretty close to the real deal! Don't worry, you won't be pressured by the sales people if you ask for this information!

My own estimate, being generous, including everything except food & personal items - came to approx. $1,000 per month (without mortgage).

This is my cost for a 3 bedroom amerillo in the village of lynhaven
Electric...............................990.00 for the year
Gas.....................................413.00 for the year
Sewer, water and trash...........720.00 for the year
Auto Insurance.......................650.00 for the year
Homeowners ins......................772.00 for the year
Taxes..................................1400.00 for the year
Bond payoff............................900.00 for the year
Road maint..............................500.00 for the year
village fire district.......................61.00 for the year
lawn mowing .............................50,00 per month
Amenties fee..............................137.00 per month
These are real bills that I get, any doubt and I will show you the real bill that I have received.

My estimated monthly cost to live in TV included cable or satellite television and pest control/termite insurance; along with internet service - that's pretty close to my projected $1k monthly expenses - with the exception of emergency repairs, wear & tear, etc.

Awesome - thanks for posting. By the way, for comparison purposes, what size house and lot do you have? I'm thinking our utilties run slightly higher, but we have a 1926 sf house with a very small lot. And we're here full time, and the comcast we have is higher and includes high speed internet. But the figures you posted will certainly give someone a good ballpark idea. Thanks again.
