"I don't know what the future holds but I do know Who holds the future"...I love it! I often say "I don't know all the answers, but I am good friends with the GUY Who does! Not currently living in The Villages, but I really miss the days when I could attend Bible Study with some really dear sisters in Christ.

This study has started...and is "DAVID". There is another Beth Moore going on on Friday's and it's called "HERE and NOW, THERE and Than" on the book of Revelation and it too has started. You can call the church at 352-307-7303 for more information.

Does anyone know if there's a Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) that meets in The Villages?

Community Bible Study (nondenominational and patterned after BSF) meets weekly on Monday afternoons in The Villages. Their website gives needed info for class time, location and enrollment (could not paste a link here). It can be found by googling it.

Community Bible Study (CBS) meets on Mondays from 3-5 pm at New Covenant Methodist Church, 3470 Woodridge Dr off Co. Rd. 466 and 101. This year we are studying Luke. There are close to 100 women involved from many denominations. We break up into smaller groups of about 15. It's an excellent study. Newcomers are welcome! Come join us!

Community Bible Study (CBS) is excellent. Consistently, almost every week, I hear women say they like this course format because "we learn for ourselves by reading/studying the Scripture passages......it's not about sitting there listening to somebody always talking at you".

It's a tried and true method, completely nondenominational.

First Baptist Church of The Villages offers both Beth Moore and Kay Arthur studies as an on-going thing. You don't have to be a member of the church to attend. I'd start there then maybe from word of mouth you'll hear of "in-home" studies! THAT'S what I'd recommend!!

Village View Church in Summerfield also offers women's Bible studies as well. Fairway Christian Church on 466...you can find all of these churches in the book OR you can google their websites for more information!

Does anyone know if there's a Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) that meets in The Villages?

Do you mean a mature and deep study of God's word along with fellowship (joyfull) in being called out and placed in Christ?

i GUESS MICHAEL .everyone feels differently about what a bible study or fellowship group should be. at this point i would just like for God to knit some people together in His love and friendship and go from there. I would hope at our age and stage in life all fellowship is mature and glorifying to the lord amen? I am not a legalistic person and not a controlling spirit so all i am doing is opening my home and my heart to the possibilities ouf there. it seems some churches are missing the mark here in the villages and people would like something more that is not just a once week scenerio perhaps after the new year we should all meet..those who did indeed express an interest in getting together in Christ like love and decide where to go from there. this would be a very non threatening NON DENOMINATIONAL study and fellowship group that is focused on prayer and friendship commitment(not socialization per sa only) and where people could even invite non believers into the 'group' so they could feel comfortable. I am at 66 years of age still an evangelistic spirit in my life. both my husband and myself worked for Jews for Jesus ministry in san francisco many years ago. i dont believe in 'christians' being an elitist group out there in the universe. anyhow again to reiterate its best to probably just come over one evening...when we can get everyone together at one time...and go from there, to see what others want out of this. i dont run the show. im opening up to the Holy Spirit to see what God wants not me. God bless you and your family and happy healthy new year . marlene and arnie in lynnhaven village. p.s.please write me at marlenem_55@yahoo.com if you are still interested in pursuing the fellowship group. hugs in Jesus..marlene
