Kind of a weird story.

It sounds like a justified shooting to me.

Bad guy was a felon.

He made multiple attempts at bludgeoning the deputy.

The deputy attempted non-lethal means before escalating to a firearm.

He made an effective shot.

All good.............................

:ho:

The deputy was just trying to avoid being paddled.

That's funny. I used the wrong word with "welding" in the title. Happens once in a while. Pistol pointed at worker | Stuff.co.nz (http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/news/national/86531980/Central-Auckland-money-exchange-held-up-by-pistol-wielding-robber)

Meant to write wielding.

Yup.

My only question is where was he carrying his weapon if he was in chest deep water? Will a firearm still fire if it is submerged in water?

Reminds me of the song "I fought the law and the law won"
