I don't see anything nasty, cruel, unkind, hostile, uncaring about saying this. I am sure he loathes every thing about the Holocaust like more than 99% of us do.

I agree with gracie on this. Spicer misspoke. We all do that. He obviously meant that chemical weapons were not used on the battlefield.

Don't take one misspoken phrase and turn it into an entire denigrating of the person.

What's a battlefield in the WWII? I would certainly say that trucks picking up mentally ill people and then gassing these is a battlefield. Let's just say that as the spokesperson for the White House, an actual professional would actually choose the right words and phrases that actually mean what is spoken.......

But from Spicer, alternate facts, misspoken phrases, and threats to reporters are now his norm
