(Remember Trump railing against Goldman Sachs?) The Secretary of Education, DeVos, never stepped into a public school in her life, but she gave Trump's campaign $200 million. The Secretary of Health had to resign because he spent a million taxpayer dollars in 3 months on charter jets to take him on vacations. The Energy Secretary once wanted to dismantle the entire department and seemed unaware that the department controls our nukes.

Trump, as a former TV star, understood and took advantage that the power of personality and easy answers to complex questions would appeal to people who are used to hour long TV shows.

"There is definitely something happening in this nation when people have more of a fixation on a political figure rather than on policy. Oh yes, its called Trump Derangement Syndrome which causes fatal flaws in otherwise cognitive thinking and logical expression.

So many examples..calling a USA examination of a foreign country interfering in our election...this investigation did not begin to focus on HIM. He makes it so, but I know you know it is not a hoax and the results should be honored by all Americans, but not so with you, your fellows on here or Trump.

If you are so comfortable with a President of our country, of any party, any name just chronically lying and accusing with never any substantiation or remorse when he is routinely shown 100% wrong.

You cannot be putting your country first...it is impossible, while supporting a liar in the White House. Flat out impossible. Your group, your merry band of folks who feel the media just makes up stories are flat out delusional. To fanatically support a lying, dishonest person in the WH In any language can only be construed as supporting him before the country.

This is what I posted in the thread "Where Is The Collective American Conscience". the OP included a photo of Trump in a Nazi uniform, an allegation that is both overboard and hateful.

"There is definitely something happening in this nation when people have more of a fixation on a political figure rather than on policy. Oh yes, its called Trump Derangement Syndrome which causes fatal flaws in otherwise cognitive thinking and logical expression.

I have taken the road which leads to focusing on policy and ignoring all the political rhetoric and unnecessary emotional outbursts coming from both sides of the aisle. I have taken the road that causes me to write my congressman and senators demanding results.

It has finally sunk in with me, that people like Rubi have long ago abandoned any ethics/integrity/morality that they claim to have had...and have instead chosen to blindly support the most morally and ethically bereft POTUS in history.

While they may try to hide behind false protestations of "I just like Trump's policies," what they are really doing of course is allowing all of their pent up bigotry, racism, misogyny and ugliness...to finally see the light of day.

In some respects, it has actually been beneficial to see a validation of my opinion that so many of the rabid Trump supporters voted for him...because they basically hated Hillary more than they love this country.

While on one hand it's a real downer to watch how many Un-American citizens we have in this great nation (and especially in TV) throwing off any pretense on whether country or political party is more important to them...at least there is no longer a question as to where their true loyalty lies.

While I don't agree with a lot of the political positions McCain, Corker, Flake, Bush, Etc., Etc. have...I do admire their personal integrity.

Particularly since our national integrity...is under direct assault by Trump and his cultists.

What we are going through right now is not unlike the McCarthy era (albeit 100 times worse), whereby strong and ethical individuals stood by for such a long period...and became lemmings lest they 'buck' the establishment.

The really ironic part of course, is that Trump thinks he's the one trying to "drain the swamp/establishment," when in fact...he and his cultists are actually digging a much larger/deeper/darker/uglier swamp. :ohdear:

For point B, look at the people Trump has appointed to his cabinet. The Secretary of the Treasury, Mnuchin, was known as "Mr. Foreclosure" when he worked at Goldman Sachs. (Remember Trump railing against Goldman Sachs?) The Secretary of Education, DeVos, never stepped into a public school in her life, but she gave Trump's campaign $200 million. The Secretary of Health had to resign because he spent a million taxpayer dollars in 3 months on charter jets to take him on vacations. The Energy Secretary once wanted to dismantle the entire department and seemed unaware that the department controls our nukes.

Trump, as a former TV star, understood and took advantage that the power of personality and easy answers to complex questions would appeal to people who are used to hour long TV shows.
