Default Extraordinary Moment

Here’s a quick thought experiment: Can you imagine Chris Dodd, Evan Bayh and Byron Dorgan saying in 2009 that Barack Obama was debasing the country? Or Fred Thompson, Phil Gramm and Jesse Helms saying in 2001 that George W. Bush needed adult day care? Or George Mitchell, Sam Nunn and David Boren going on CNN in 1993 to call Bill Clinton a congenital liar?

Of course not. In fact, it’s inconceivable. As Flake said yesterday, this is not normal. None of it: not Trump’s behavior, nor the reaction to it.

That’s why the mainstream media cannot cover the back-and-forth like a remake of “Mean Girls.” It’s so much more than just another Trump Twitter feud. Objectively, this is an extraordinary moment in our nation’s history.

The world is watching.

A post this morning from Rubicon who is hypocritical at best mentions policy.

Would be great if Trump would allow that.

He makes this daily all about HIM.

McCain, Flake and Corker...those 3 votes could control congress if they wished. Trump cares nothing at all about this country or any policy.

He is all about himself and listening to the presser yesterday was so disturbing on so many levels.

We are in the cross hairs of history and the world, not just our country, watches in horror.

You never seem to grasp meanings...of anything.

Thus your posts are a waste of space

OK rocky...YOU tell us how GREAT a system is that allows 3 men to control 535...supposed "independent" representatives of their home district.

I'll wait...

Will I have to wait as long as I have been waiting for you to show me equality of the races? Equality of the sexes?

Be the "better man" rocky...show me what I'm missing.

You're just an ignorant b!tch with a attitude. There IS NO explaining WHY 3 men can control congress. Except corruption. You're admitting they're TOLD how to vote.

Hate the messenger rocky...ignore the truth...it's what you do.

I've been called the king of analogies...the MOST astute...right here in this forum...do you even understand those words? I think I understand more than you do.

All anybody need do to get a real time feel for the direction we are headed is to watch one of the WH press conferences.

Yesterday for example, almost exclusively all the media grunts pursued comments made by Corker and Flake. No substance. Just focus on anything that has a negative slant.
Not one thing pertinent to the needs of the American people was asked.

They only focused on the anti Trump agenda like the pre programmed lemmings caliber that they are.

Yes we are marking a time in history. There is a person in the WH who is not of the mind to follow suit and play politics instead of doing their job.

Like it or not, Trump was elected by voters who are sick and tired of the establishment.
And Trump now has the losing party's 24/7 bitching about anything and everything that is not democrat. Then there is the establishment like the McCains, Mc Connels, Corker, Flake, Pelosi, Shummer, Waters that are desperate to keep their job and disrupt and disrespect we the people in the process.

And the icing on the cake? Of course the main stream media. These people are just another link in the establishment chain as well as supporters of the democratic party.

So yes we are at a turning point in history. Will there be a change that assures America continues to be what it's past has been all about. Or will it continue to degrade and slide lower on the scale of accomplishment by and for the American people and the world at large.

Some how or another the democrats, the establishment (both parties) and the media will have to acknowledge they got it wrong. They had Clinton anointed and crowned for months, predicting whole sale landslide victory last November. They were and continue to remain in shock and disbelief that they got it wrong....that they lost the election.

Like it or not. Trump is the figure head for Americans that are sick and tired of the business as usual politics by the establishment.

It is acknowledged the above will draw the same usual disparaging commentary from the usual FEW!

They can go into pretty much any town and see how America is changing. They can see the "seediness" creeping in. The changing demographic.

It's a liberal coup. That's what's happening.

Yes...we ARE making history...for the 1st time EVER...America is a minority majority. Your jaw is going to drop when the next census comes out.

The establishment will win. This is what the coup is all about. THEY have the numbers and they have the motivation.

The media ensures we remain divided. Always close to a 50:50 split...so we don't unite against them...the establishment.

Unless America becomes WHITE again...it WILL continue its slide...into Mexico II.

Yes..they got it wrong...you got it wrong...there is NO gender/race equality and forcing it IS dragging us down. Encouraging them to breed by paying them up to $60,000 a year to drink and screw...will NOT make America great again.

It doesn't matter...you must believe in equality like Christians believe in Jesus...or you have to go.

Look how they batter me and all I do is relay the truth.

Nobody refutes my facts...only my ideas on why the facts are what they are.

Everyone understands that the people who voted for Trump are "sick and tired of the establishment". The problem is, the people who fell for Trump think he will change things, but: A. He does not have the ability to change things, and B. He has no real interest in changing things.

Don't believe me? For point A, Congress makes all the laws, not the President. Since Trump has alienated at least 8 members of Congress, and he needs at least 7 of those members to pass any of his agenda, Congress will simply bypass Trump and write the laws any way they want to.

For point B, look at the people Trump has appointed to his cabinet. The Secretary of the Treasury, Mnuchin, was known as "Mr. Foreclosure" when he worked at Goldman Sachs. (Remember Trump railing against Goldman Sachs?) The Secretary of Education, DeVos, never stepped into a public school in her life, but she gave Trump's campaign $200 million. The Secretary of Health had to resign because he spent a million taxpayer dollars in 3 months on charter jets to take him on vacations. The Energy Secretary once wanted to dismantle the entire department and seemed unaware that the department controls our nukes.

Trump, as a former TV star, understood and took advantage that the power of personality and easy answers to complex questions would appeal to people who are used to hour long TV shows.

Let me clarify mellin... Good post by the way!

WHITE people who voted for Trump were either staunch Rs and would have voted for papa smurf if they had run him...or those who wanted change.

Very good...did you read that or are those your words? He CANNOT "really" change things because he is simply a talking head. What the liberals want is just a different talking head who reads words they want to hear...while they loot like this one and all the rest have. They want to be president because they want to be royalty and treated that way. They do as told for the perks they enjoy. Trump WANTS to be taken seriously by "old money".

Of course they will. And they'll continue to pass laws that should be a page long at most...but are 3,000 pages long to accommodate all the "payback" to campaign contributors.

ALL presidencies are payback to friends. That's what they do. The important positions are filled with business insiders who loot the treasury.

That's all an election is...a popularity contest between corrupt crooks. They're ALL evil and thinking you picked the lesser is wrong. You still picked evil...you just like the public facade more. He fooled you better.

Again...we clash...call each other names...but for me...that's just business. Again...good post.

Now...lets talk HONESTLY about gender and race.

I watched it. It was tiring. The media trying to get answers.

The WH told so many lies and spent so much energy on attacking

You and your white nationalist, not surprisingly keep attacking the free press, who does their job...they try to get the truth

Guess what..when the President of the United States tells one lie after another...continuing to use these lies to attack, and the media KNOWS they are being lied to...this is the resukt.

Why do you people NEVER EVER EVER hear the lies. Why do you people just simply look for a way to defend this person.

Is the truth that hard to accept. Are you just "in love" with lying.

Not sure how many times, but I think it was three...that Sanders simply lied on behalf of the President while attacking Corker.

These people could care less about my country....for them, and she alluded to it twice,..it is all about winning the verbal battles.

WE WON, YOU LOST is the prevailing thing with your group. CERTAINLY NOT OUR COUNTRY.
When ANY PRESIDENT LIES...WHEN ANY ORESIDENT IS LAUNCHING ATTACKS ON LIES, YES..the media stands up for the citizens of the country.

You call it anti Trump....most call it a search for the truth.

When do you put the country first ?

Then, of course the media reports his lies and You, without ever checking, cal them liars. So tiresome...thank God for the media...we are in crisis

OMG rocky...you slay me! A search for the TRUTH? You wouldn't know it if it grabbed your arm and shook you!

Put the country FIRST? By filling it with 3rd world minorities? THEY are 51% now. THEY are taking over.

I have no idea where you live, but since I realized that 98% of those on here maligning free press, making unfounded and unsubstantiated claims agains the media and any individual who might question the lies they tell, that you are part and parcel of this group of extremist that make up the alt right white nationalist group.

Now, you have the job it seems to go after blacks and keep them free to attack the media and insure that Trump is defended at all costs.

I know that many of them live in The Villages, which in itself is quite scary, but I also know you do not. So, tell your leaders, sign in at Alex Jones or wherever you report, that you have to leave.

PLEASE just go back to wherever you came from.

The others that live here do a fine job on those who are not white...they are more subtle than you for sure, but their message is not different than yours.

I am well aware of truth and while most on here may dislike me for being persistent, I have always suppliedd facts to support my claims of our White House lying. I have always asked, AND NEVER DO RECEIVE, for proof of your group on here to supply some kind of back up for their many accusations, especially the easy ones if there were any...the media. They cannot and do not EVER respond.

So, You and your group on here can bury as best you can about the lying from out Oval Office...you can say it is tiresome to hear it....THAT ALONE IS DAMNING THAT I AM TOLD THAT....you can say whatever you want....WHAT I want to hear is one single piece of evidence that the media is lying...they simply report what he says.

And you always do your job for them...you say.....you dont care about Trump...then go into your immature tired little tirade about how we all should worry about anyone not white..do not bother please.

You and the others want to discuss POLITICS....lets have a go. You and yours always telling people how we are absorbed with Trump.....HE IS THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES..HE SPEAKS FOR ALL OF US ALL OVER THE WORLD.

You are asking me and many others to just keep quiet while he totally and completely steps up and tells lie after lie...don t think so.

"President Donald Trump tweeted 75 words about Tennessee Republican Sen. Bob Corker on Tuesday morning, saying at least two things that aren't true and two more that are debatable."

Donald Trump'''s Twitter Attacks on Bob Corker, Fact Checked | Time.com

"Trump has repeatedly peddled this line about his refusal to grant Corker an endorsement, while Corker has repeatedly said Trump begged him to run for reelection—and offered his endorsement if Corker did so. Who to believe? The guy who's still going around saying that "we're the highest taxed nation in the world" while pitching his tax plan, despite the fact that everyone and their brother has found we're nowhere close? Corker says Trump is "an untruthful president," which still seems generous. Corker is hiding behind the (debatable) notion he does not use the word "liar," but at least he's saying something."

Corker Is Speaking the Truth About Trump's Lies. Now It's Everyone Else's Turn.
