:(Well I can't believe but it happened. For those who weren't up early enough it was either light snow or sleet this AM. The roofs were white and no it wasn't frost. It was coming down and actually you could see foot printsin the lite crusting on the sidewalk. Oh well I guess we can't call it the land of NO anymore. Next weekend we'll be back in the pool according to the 10 day look ahead.:ohdear:

Ahhh 2010, I will fondly remember it as the year I paid a big gas bill in two states :censored::cold:

I know, I know, you have 100 inches of snow and it is -34... ;)

Based on some of the construction things I have read, should I shovel my roof to get the weight off?:jester:

:agree: I also was up very early, and had snow on top of my outside furniture, and all my covers for my bushes! Luckily I warned my doggies while putting them out to take it easy, but they still went slipping and a sliding! My patio was a sheet of ice! :cold:
I pray that you are right and that we will be in the pool next weekend
Skating anyone?? :1rotfl:
Stay warm and safe folks!

TV would be near perfect.
While what is on the roof this morning, mine included, is technically a gathering of more sleet than snow...it just looks too much like snow.
I guess by looking at the temperature map this morning, one would need to be living in the keys to escape this white/cold &^^%#$^%$%!!!!!!

F16 you might as well throw your ice scrapers away. You'll never need them there in sunny & warm FL. Someone told me this when we moved. Let me tell you my truck sits outside and it's covered with ice.

Ditto F-16!! I just went to look outside, and my truck is covered with ice too! Brrrrrrrr!!!!
Yesterday I had a feeling this might possibly happen, so I treated myself to a beautiful bouquet of flowers at Publix to ease the pain of this cold weather, ice and snow! There is more now, than when I got up earlier!!
Looks like a good day to stay home and snuggle up with Mrs. F-16, Teddy and Patience....that will keep you toasty! Definitely not a fishing day I'm sorry to say. :cold:

They should make a movie of this historic event. Call it, "The Big Chill." Wait, the name's already taken. Any other suggestions? :beer3:

I laughed out loud when I read the online edition of the Daily Sun and saw the picture of the long lines at the movie theater. Villagers just gotta have fun!

Sleet keeps fallin' on my head
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for line-dancing on the Square
Nothin' seems to fit
Those sleet drops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'
And those movie lines at the Villages' theaters keep a growin'

So I just did me some talkin' to the Morse Family
And I said I didn't like the way they got things done
Sleepin' on the job
Those sleet drops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'
Nor can I use my golf cart in this mess

But there's one thing I know
The chills they send to meet me won't defeat me
It won't be long till a golf tee time steps up to greet me
and my golfcart can get out of the 18th tee

Sleet keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
But does mean my nose will run
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the sleet by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me

[trumpet]

It won't be long till golf tee times step up to greet me as well as outside Crispers' TOTV luncheons

Sleet keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
But only my nose
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the sleet by complainin'
but perhaps maybe the Morses can put in a good word
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me.

And I will be able to get to the 18th tee, and soon.

Is anyone aware of pipes breaks. I had a call saying 5-6 house had water pipe breaks in summerhill outside, Mine is one. I'm in NJ. Someone secured my water.

Did this happen sat or sunday. my spinklers are turned off so it had to be the line to the spinker control box at side of house. Water bill is coming ????
