I am cataloging my dad’s military medals and can’t find this one on the web. I know it is from his service during the Vietnam War. Is anyone familiar with it who can give me info?

That doesn’t appear to be official medal , I had a lot of years in Laos and Vietnam , sometimes individual units made up insignias for themselves or it could be something he picked up from some other military, if you know your dads unit , you could research it from there , your a good son

I just read it . I never applied for any of the medals after like sing them or never receiving them the ribbon was fine , although I don’t have them either but as long as they were on my records I couldn’t care less

That is an official medal of the Republic of Vietnam, aka South Vietnam.
