I fixed my spam problem by changing my email address. Outlook.com allows you to have a different address. Add it, then tell everybody you know to use it instead. Once your old address receives only spam, delete it.

You can do this with Google Mail, too. I have my general one, one set up for use only with my daughter and hubby (which is synced to my phone) which I keep "clean", and one set up that I use when requesting free samples. I still get some spam on my regular one but most goes to my "throw away" email.

Unsubscribing does not work they realize you are a real email address and you read their trash.

recently getting spam from someone who uses same beginning of email address but changes everything after "@" so they can send by the millions and blocking will not help.

Worked for us for "awhile". Took a LONG time to see it begin to drop off, but... then found out you have to continually renew your request ! Too bad, from the consumer perspective, it would seem register ONCE, and it stays that way until YOU request to be taken off the list... but of course, that would benefit the consumer, so we don't want that ! It's like the CC "laws", seems the politicians of both parties have no interest in "the consumer".... LOL !
