107913I'm from W. Pa. about 40 min. from the Oakmont CC. Here is a screen shot of golf balls for the Open. I think Jim needs to do some history of the open. This is the 125th!
Oakmont has hosted the most US opens, this is #10.

Nantz is referring to the Masters.

The first Masters was played in 1934 but there was no tournament in 1943, 1944, and 1945, so 2036 will be the 100th.

The first US Open was held in 1895 but was canceled in WW1 and WW2. It will be held in Oakmont in 2033, 2042, and 2049.

Eleven years does seem rather excessive. I only gave my company 30 days’ notice.

I think you mean that 2036 will be the 100th.

According to my calculations, 2025 will be the 88th Masters, and 2036 will be the 99th. What am I missing?

1934-1942 is 9
No tournaments from 1943-1945
1946-1955 is 10 (19 total)
1956-1965 is 10 (29 total)
1966-1975 is 10 (39 total)
1976-1985 is 10 (49 total)
1986-1995 is 10 (59 total)
1996-2005 is 10 (69 total)
2006-2015 is 10 (79 total)
2016-2025 is 10 (89 total)
