My teacher told me, guns kill people.

I told her, my pencil failed the test.

:pepper2:

Teacher was wrong.! Actually, guns allow humans to kill other humans, quickly, efficiently, without the danger of confrontation that sticks, stones, knives or swords would involve. Kill anonymously, from a distance, from a hiding place. And, as a general rule, the human pulls a lever. The lever allows a hammer which strikes the detonation of a small explosion the pushes the bullet out of the gun. It is the bullet that kills people. Unless the gun is used to bludgeon the victim to death.

Hmm? Maybe guns aren't the problem. Don't ban guns just ban ammunition?

If you were on a shark sighting I doubt if many people would jump in the water when you yelled "Shark!". Or that you get many gun nuts running into gun shows and emptying their weapons.

Many years ago, we were on a "shark experience " and when the sharks were sighted we all did jump in the water. Great fun actually. Very exciting

Your continued use of the term "gun nut" is interesting...

It's a term of endearment. Like "Hon" or "Darling". 🫠😉

As long as I don't have to see it, I applaud your excercising of your 2nd Amendment rights. I just don't want to have to see it. I think people who "need" to carry weapons out visibly and blatantly, if they're not law enforcement on duty, are creepy. The only upside to them, is that I know who to run away from.

Agree!

There's no better evidence of the need for strong gun control legislation, than sitting in the parking lot of a gun show and just watching.
Interesting statement, if only because it implies the conclusion that people attend gun shows for nefarious purposes. Given that, it says far more about the person making the statement than it does about people in gun show parking lots.

Just because many folks believe that stereotyping is impolite, it doesn't mean it's not reasonably accurate.

These folks look like the same people you seen waiting for the Apple Store to open, when the newest iPhone is introduced.
