I had the privilege of meeting Michelle before President Obama decided to run. It was at a luncheon in Springfield, Illinois, and I was blown away with her intelligence, humanity, and humility. Wearing a flag on my lapel does not make me more or less in love with my country. Anyone can do that for the outside world to see, it is what is in our hearts that matters. Hopefully not getting too far off this thread, I think we can think of flag wavers who really don't have the best interests of our country at heart.

I find some of the information in this piece to puzzling at best. The White House has always had concerts with star performers. So what....

There has be misinformation about the First Lady ordering room service that was debunked and also the taxpayers paying for a 2 day stay in London on our dime....

Now this hasn't happened yet so we don't know if its on the taxpayers dime but it better not be....if she is paying then I want to come...

For those who do not understand General Schedule salaries, these are not out of line for top level jobs. $172K for the Chief of Staff is not too much at all. I only saw about 5 positions that had to do with the First Lady. Quite reasonable from a large office.
