All this for a mother-daughter vacation in Spain??
"Michelle Obama has reserved 30 rooms for herself and her daughter, their friends and bodyguards at a five-star hotel in Benahavis near Marbella, hotel sources said.
How does anyone need 30 rooms for a mother-daughter trip?....."

I had the privilege of meeting Michelle before President Obama decided to run. It was at a luncheon in Springfield, Illinois, and I was blown away with her intelligence, humanity, and humility. Wearing a flag on my lapel does not make me more or less in love with my country. Anyone can do that for the outside world to see, it is what is in our hearts that matters. Hopefully not getting too far off this thread, I think we can think of flag wavers who really don't have the best interests of our country at heart.

You might want to check out what Cindy McCain said...it is about the same.

I don't know if you know this but you can't believe everything on the INTERNET. For example this:

Even the Washington Times piece says "She apparently says"

We aren't talking about what she wears on her lapel. It's been said, "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks." I'm pretty sure that she has made what is in her heart clear by what has come out of her mouth...on more than one occasion.

You're making this so easy for me. Pathetic. I'm still wondering how or what I'm enforcing, and what ridiculous point you think you're making in your eagerness to spew meaningless epithets, but keep at it. You are making yourself look foolish, and your thoughts irrelevant.

Wow, tell us how you really feel? I think there is alot of resentment because they lack the eloquence and style of writing that Richie brings to the table. It can get unimaginative and repetitive on the Dark Side.;)

Don't let him get to you so much. I find him amusing and repetative. He gets great joy out of baiting liberals; why are you reinforcing him? Don't know why that makes him so happy...limited scope perhaps? I laugh at most of what he says...it is really kind of transparent. So next time you read something ridiculous, just smile and write a response, if you want, that refutes him. His reaction to what you think is meaningless, really.

Why, gee; thanks a lot. You know I love when someone can post something that maybe disputes what I have written and a give and take can ensue. We've done this (albeit without you demeaning me as you've kind of done here), but this poster seems to only want to call me meaningless names and insult me, instead of voicing a coherent counterpoint to posts by me or others with whom he disagrees.
You may mostly disagree with me, but do you really believe that my posts are not thoughtful of the topic at hand? Can you say the same for this poster you're trying to soothe?

I am sure it was humanity and humility that moved Michelle to reserve 30 rooms in a 5 Star Hotel along with flyng over several limo's private chefs and all the amenities one can think of for a vacation in Spain on taxpayers dollars.
God Bless her humble heart.

I find some of the information in this piece to puzzling at best. The White House has always had concerts with star performers. So what....
There has be misinformation about the First Lady ordering room service that was debunked and also the taxpayers paying for a 2 day stay in London on our dime....
Now this hasn't happened yet so we don't know if its on the taxpayers dime but it better not be....if she is paying then I want to come...
The coast of Spain is a lot of fun ....been there before.

Hey look we had to live with a First Lady that consulted Astrologers before allowing Ronnie to book his schedule. And a First Lady that talked to a long gone First Lady...
I get that you don't like her but seriously ....

Well, they have hired many expensive people to change her image. She has the biggest most expensive aides in history. (thank-you taxpayers)
She is still the same person who never had any pride or appreciation for this country.

How expensive are Mrs. Obama's aides? Please provide the site where you got the information, too. Are her aides government employees and, if so, what are their exact job titles and grades? Thank you for the information.

The breakdown of staff and salaries of the White House was very interesting. For those who do not understand General Schedule salaries, these are not out of line for top level jobs. $172K for the Chief of Staff is not too much at all. I only saw about 5 positions that had to do with the First Lady. Quite reasonable from a large office.
Anyhow, thanks for the link. I enjoyed it.

I thought you were baiting me. Insiders say that it is a demanding job to keep Michele's image respectable. Just her wardrobe alone is a struggle for them. LOL
You have to remember during the campaign she had a reputation of saying outrageous statements. Many people agree that she falls short on class that Laura Bush had in abundance.

I am glad to see that you know I was not baiting you. I wanted the information, you gave it to me, I found it interesting.
Lots of First Ladies have been prima donnas. I understand Nancy Reagan was, Jackie Kennedy was for sure, Pat Nixon and Betty Ford both had to be babysat for their addictions to booze and pills. I would not doubt if Mrs. Obama is a prima donna, too.
Probably the nicest was Laura Bush. That is not baiting. That is my true opinion.

I always looked at Jackie O as an opportunist. She knew what she was doing when she married that skirt chasing Kennedy and she knew what she was doing when she married that old rich Greek guy. I don't think she would knew love if it bit her on her a**.
