We are closing on our home, in Sable Chase, next Friday 2/17. We both are having a hard time sleeping. It's like Christmas when we were children. Can't move down until my Wife's school year is finished and she will be Retired on May 25th. We will be spending some time before we become Full Time Frogs. She has Spring Break and we are going to spend 10 days in our home then. I will be coming down a couple of times in March as we are having some things done to the inside and will need to get a key to the people doing and pay them when they are finished. :a040:

We too went through just what you are going through. We were so excited that we could not sleep either. But, this is just the beginning of a long and happy life. You will love having your very own home to return after the squares and such. It just doesn't get any better.... CONGRATS

It hit us the next day after closing, while we were sitting on our Lanai having coffee and we looked at each other and said... W O W, what a ride.

Now if our house in Atlanta will just sell, we will become FROGS too.

Thanks for all of the nice comments. We are already looking for any thing we might need to come and spend a day or two in our house, it doesn't even have to a very good one either

I just came in from our lanai where I was relaxing and thinking about how truly blessed DH and I are to be able to live in TV. I logged on to TOTV and your post made me smile. Yes, it really does feel like waiting for Christmas morning. Welcome to your new home. I hope you find living here as wonderful as we do.

Welcome aboard. We went through the same non-sleeping. Waking up at 3 AM and turning to the other one and saying do you want to talk about our house. You betcha. We closed Jan 23rd. I stayed three days and my wife stayed 10 days. We are now 13 days away from our final move. And we still aren't sleeping well. We are 95% packed and ready to go. I have 9 more days to work to top off a 40 year career. Trust me we will leave the lights on for you.

Congratulations Dennis GA, Welcome to your new home. Reading your post reminds me of our experence and excitment when we bought our lot and started the building process. We also looked for any excuse to make the 6 hour drive south. Enjoy your new home. :MOJE_whot:

I will be right in the middle of what is becoming a common experience here, playing golf with friends, sitting on our front porch with daughter Helene, having a glass of pop on a friends lanai, coming out of Publix into the bright February sun and I will think...

This is so soft and comfy and beautiful and sweet and so like the carefree time of childhood. Who would guess this part of our lives could be so wonderful?

Thank's to everybody for making us feel so welcome. After a 1.5 year of dreaming and thinking about this we have now arrived at the week we take the big step and close on our home. Wish we could move in now but have some things that need to get done, here and in our new home. We know that this is going to be fun and making allot of new friends.

Down to 48 hours before closing. We are leaving today when my Wife get's off work and driving about half way and spend the night and then come the rest in the morning. We are stopping in Gainesville and Ocala to look for Dining furniture and counter stools. We are so ready to make this next step and get our homes closed. Then we just have to wait until the end of May when school is out for her so we can become FROGS
