The link worked perfectly for me. I clicked and the arrow and the video played. I also clicked on the YouTube icon on the video and got the YouTube link which is easier to watch.
This will happen here if we do nothing. It's already beginning in Michigan and will only grow.
What should we do?..........you tell me.

I might point out that some of the more conservative Christian religions are preaching exactly the same message as the Muslims shown in this video, although maybe not as publicly as with large public demonstrations. Without question, there are some fundamental Christian religions which preach that unless one accepts their religious precepts, and regardless of how good a person is or how good a life a person might lead, they will be excluded from Heaven and will spend eternity in Hell.
That's not intended to start an argument, because it is fact. But the statement is intended to illustrate that there are other groups other than the Muslims on the religious spectrum who preach a very similar message.

Where in Michigan, Richie? I have a home in Michigan, my kids were born in Michigan, and one still lives there. I'm pretty familiar with the state.
If you're speaking of the heavy concentration of Muslims in Dearborn, I think if you'll do just a little research, you'll find that the vast majority of them are law-abiding, hard-working, family-oriented, religious people trying to live the same type of life that most people in America are seeking.
So, what should "we" do about that?

Good post, VK.
Had a number of Muslim/Arab friends at Denver University back in 1983-1984 while I was there including a librarian from the University of Mosul in Iraq. Good people when I knew them.
Also went to law school at the U of MN (Class of 1989) with the only Muslim in the US Congress. I did not know him personally but my girlfriend at the time--also a law student (Class of 1990)-- respected him. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Ellison

The nonsense of your post is that Christians are "live and let live people" and the Muslims are not.
That's the fact, as you choose to ignore it.

More nonsense from the reich wingers. It never ends..........
The Christians who murder doctors and nurses who perform perfectly legal abortions, are "live and let live people"?
That's the fact, as you choose to ignore it.

That's the fact, as you choose to ignore it.Let's just choose to disagree on this one, Richie. There are tens of millions of Muslims living peacefully in the world, as there are Christians and Jews. Sometimes they all live in close proximity with one another.
There are radicals and violent members of all religions. Sometimes a few have a greater effect on the world than others, like the dozen or so Saudi's who were Muslims and members of a terrorist organization who brought down the World Trade Centers, essentially starting a long, major, regional war. But for the most part, the vast majority of people of all religious faiths are law-abiding, "live and let live" people. If you choose to believe otherwise, that's your right. But to categorize major groups of people based on how a relative few act is incorrect in my opinion. So let's just disagree.

If you run IE9, do a quote on the original post and the link will show up. Copy and paste the link (berween the URL comments) into another window to access the link.
It is something between IE9 and TOTV.

The stupidity of your post is that you equate the sins of one Christian with the teachings of the religion when there is no correlation.
It's an ignorant analogy.

Damn right, I disagree.
If you watched the UK video you wouldn't be advancing this ignorant analogy comparing Christians with Muslims. The hundreds or thousands of Muslims on the streets of the UK chanting their vileness has no comparison to present day Christians or their religion's teachings. The monstrous acts of Islam all over the world is in stark contrast to the teachings of Christianity, and the acts of Christians.
Minority of Muslims, my butt.

That's what I said, but VK says he's in Michigan and most all the Muslims are just such good tolerant patriotic Americans, who just love their fellow Americans so much, be they infidel or not.

i saw the video and the most disturbing statement, in case some did not notice, was that they do not respect any law but sharia! all the other laws of all the other lands can go to hell, in their words...so where does that leave us? we must stop sharia law from being used in this country! that is the only way the really radical muslims will leave...the secularized, peace-loving ones will stay and obey our laws, but the radicals will leave. i hate to use the word "secularized" which i usually consider a negative thing, but in this case it is necessary. maybe i should use "civilized"?

I lived in Dearborn, Michigan for 50 years. I just moved her full time last October. My children and two siblings still live in Dearborn. I can see this type of protest happening in my former home town. Dearborn is nothing like it was in the 1960s or 1970s. I worked at two health facilities in Dearborn. I had been told that I looked naked and I was wearing traditional scrubs. I have seen women that weren’t allowed to have procedures because it required a male physician and no female physician was available. It is not as far fetched as some might think. It is pretty scary stuff. That is just my two cents. I don't post often because I don't consider myself knowledgeable about all things political.

Thank you, EWStanley from Dearborn. You understood the video. I posted it, not to initiate racial slurs, or such, but as an alert that the laws of the land (or adopted land by many of those protesters) are considered worthless by these radical groups. Only Shiai (sp?) law is "real" - hence those statements and posters reading "Death to the British" (or fill in the name of the county) Sadly, those protesters are living in England, but feel they are not held accountable to "British way of life and laws". As I watched the video of the "naked" British gal from Luton, I became anxious for her safety. I hope the voting public of this great nation, take note. Freedom is a precious thing, and easily lost when it is gradually eroded, one tiny piece at a time......

Not sure how much you can get out of this one incident. The Islam religion is incredibly complex with a history going back to the 600s. This video just looked like a woman trying to get attention by putting something on the Internet.
It is kind of like someone on TOTV going to Sanford and saying what is going on there is indicative of what all Christians are like. The Neo-Nazi are now also joining the media circus which is the Trayvon Martin case. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/06/trayvon-martin-case-armed_n_1409099.html The woman from the video insinuated herself into a cause involving very emotional Muslims who also look like they are very strict adherents to some perhaps radical part of Islam judging from the dress of the women in the video.
How would you like it if one of these Muslim women judged the Christain faith on some Neo-Nazis clashing with Trayvon Martin backers on the streets of Sanford, Florida?

How many christians attempted to murder those responsible for removing a cross from a location? How many Muslims attempted to kill infidels because they did not show the reverence of their Koran? You get the picture.
The Muslims have declared jihad on infidels three times since the 6th century
I moved down from the Minneapolis area having lived in the city that housed the Vikings. Over the years Muslims began populating everywhere in the area. If there occupation was driving a taxi they would refuse to accept any fare from the airport where passenger had brought home alchohol. If they worked in stores as a cashier, then they would not touch pork and that created a problem They congregated in downtown areas of Minneapolis and created a nightmare for merchants. They demanded and still do "shari law". in dress aand belief they made it clear to city fathers merchants police etc that they would not bend to america's way
If you will recall the 20th 9/11 hijacker took flying lessons in Minnapolis and about 10 years later several young men from the Minneapolis/St Paul area were recruited by Al Queda. These people made it clear they werte radical and had no intention of to accepting western ways. The Miineapolis area is still a hotbed for promoting radicalism in America,
What is happening in Europe is a harbinger. France Holland and even Switzerland have been making modification to their immigration policies as well as domestic policies to stem the negative influence Muslims have had in their countries.
Liberals support of this group is misplaced and they are being played

How many people in Minneapolis are you actually talking about Rubicon? There are hotheads and radicals everywhere of all religions.
I am not supporting radical Muslims, nor radical Protestans, nor radical Catholics.
I just do not like judging an entire group of people like Muslims, or Catholics, or Protestants, by a few religious zealots.
"Jihad" also has a lot of different meanings-- http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/islam/beliefs/jihad_1.shtml

I remember the Minneapolis controversy - especially about cab drivers.
Eventually they were told "carry the fares or lose your license".

Wonder why this insistence on a group of religious zealots (mainly Muslims from Somalia) following their religion by not accepting people carrying alcohol and/or dogs as fares is not seen as freedom of religion when the Catholic Church's challenging President Obama's position on contraception also meets with that argument??

And it looks as though the answer to the above question has been answered by at least one person on the forum. It sounds as though he is saying American Muslims are not Americans because of their being a member of a "reactionary religion". What happened to the First Amendment? I thought that applied to all Americans. Oh, I see, Muslims are not Americans. I forgot for a second that this country was founded on freedom of religion.

You're missing the point. I'm not saying they're not Americans. They'll tell you themselves. They're Muslims who live here, but have no respect for us as infidels. They know they will outlast us and convert us or kill us, if it takes a century. They have patience, and are emboldened by apologists like yourself. Your attitude is why they know they will win in the end.
Even modernized Muslims by and large will not condemn the vile acts of their compatriots, and by a large majority "understand" why the World Trade Center attack was a justifiable act.
Look up the phrase "useful idiots". Maybe that will explain it better.

Two people posting on this board have had experience with significant Muslim population in their own cities - Minneapolis and Dearborn. Their experiences have made them worry about a growing Muslim population here in The United States. To better understand what is happening I urge you to look around the world and see where 'moderate Muslims' are prevailing.
Egypt - New elections have been held and the party coming to power is the anything but moderate Muslim Brotherhood. Christians are fleeing the country for their lives as their churches are burned and they are frozen out of either government or private sector employment.
Palestine - Radical Islamists are in full control and terror attacks against Israel are a daily occurrence.
Lebanon - Lebanon was one of the most peaceful countries in the Middle East. Beirut was known as the Paris of the Middle East. If you want to know what has happened to Lebanon watch this: the truth about lebanon and hamas - YouTube
Turkey - Turkey has, in recent years, moved to an Islamist Government that is seeking to impose Sharia. This once moderate, pro west country is rapidly coming under the control of the Mullahs Turkey's top military leader resign - Los Angeles Times (http://articles.latimes.com/2011/jul/29/world/la-fgw-turkey-generals-resign-20110730)
I could go on with Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Malaya, Thailand ,etc. But the point is clear. Radical Islam has taken control of virtually all of Muslim nations, is increasing its influence in Europe by virtue of its increasing number and terrorism and looks forward to accomplishing that in the United States. The methods used in Lebanon are equally applicable anywhere.

That "useful idiot" phrase comes pretty close to a personal attack - but I know you would never do that. :beer3:
As for Muslims not being Americans, a Muslim citizen of the USA has the same Constitutional rights as you or me. The Bill of Rights guarantees them the same freedom of worship as you or me. You may not like that fact but the Constitution works equally for citizens of all colors or creeds.

Personal attack??; you know better than that. I am calling you out though, that is true. Some of the simpler minded who post wouldn't understand, but I know you do.
I posted the explanation of a "useful idiot" in it's classic form for those who might not know that a "usful idiot" is someone who campaigns for something they do not understand, and have no idea how reviled they are by the people they're campaigning for.
I also posted a link more to the point in this thread. Even being the leftist that you are, I find it really troubling that you and all the leftists who are unanimously defending Islam, are actually this clueless to the it's real threat.
Regardless of how you defend them, they will destroy you without compunction, because their god tells them to. You think they appreciate it?......maybe, but you're still dirt at their feet..........unless you convert.

It took a few fanatics in Germany to start the Nazi Party. Those few grew the movement's attempt to achieve world domination. Where there still good Germans? Sure, but what did they do to stop the Nazis? My comparison may be too simple. Think about it.

1) This story is over 5 years old.
2) The cabbies were told that refusing fares for invalid reasons would result in fines (you CAN refuse a fare if you feel your personal safety is in jeopardy).
3) When you operate in the public, you abide by PUBLIC laws. You can practice your religion IN PRIVATE as much as you want.
First offenders (this was in Minneapolis) had a 30-day suspension of their license. Secon-time offenders had their licenses revoked.
In other words, this was (and is) a self-repairing problem. Refuse a few fares and you're not a cab driver anymore.

There seem to be 70,000 Somali refugees in MN. CSCM History (http://www.cscmn.org/about-us/history.html) Some of these would of course be radical Muslims.
http://refugeeresettlementwatch.wordpress.com/2011/01/21/why-so-many-somalis-in-minneapolis/ This link to the left does go into why Minneapolis has some many Somali refugees.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Somali_diaspora
I had wondered about the Somalis showing up in various novels that are set in the Twin Cities area like some of those of John Sandford as well as the latest by Stephen Hunter Soft Target. Soft Target has a group of terrorists-- many of whom are Somali-- taking over a Mall of America like shopping center.
