Some flour, water, yeast, a couple of cups of tomato sauce and grated cheese, = approximately $15.00 here at two of the most popular pizzeria's in the Villages. Bravo's & Flippers. Add a couple of toppings @ $2.50 each and now you are talking about $20.00 for a pizza!!!
Are we nuts? Save your hard earned money and try Papa John's at half the price $10.00. Or better yet, DiGiorno's At $5.00.

We got a large pepperoni pizza at CiCi's in the Colony shopping center for $7.99 and it was good plus we filled out the online survey and our next 1 topping pizza will be $3.99.

Haven't had a really good pizza since we left Connecticut in 88. There sure seems to be a shortage of pizza IQ in GA ... Make our own!

I should tell that Growing up my parents own a couple of restaurants .We had reviews from Chicago Tribune a few times and always great. When it comes to cost of food it can cheap if you go that route.Much more costly if you want better quality are chef would not make that sacrifice. We bought the best cheese that could be more then double the cost also same when it came to meat.Just go to the deli counter at your local store and look at cheese prices taste a $5 a lb one then a better one.Years ago you had cheap steak hse's Like Tad's on state st. $1.79 tbone where at a good steak hse.around $10.00 I don't think they were the same?Same is true for pizza.I realize if you want quality you have to pay for it.Same is true for anything you purchase.

Got a specialty pizza at Flippers for under $15.00. The restaurant experience is a good part of the price especially if you are meeting new friends or out on a date.

Ok We're from Beverly Ma "the north shore" and we'll give Papa Johns a try. We just found CiCi's on a whim it was close and we were tired from unpacking all day. Now trying to find some good New England seafood.

There is a Pizza Hut Restaurant on 441 south of us in Fruitland Park or it might be far enough down to be Leesburg.

Papa John's delivers, don't they? My DW (Darling Wife) loves PJ's, but the sauce seems sweet to me. I liked Uno's years ago .... one other poster asked, so will I, is there an Uno's anywhere near TV?

edit: found it. Closest is almost to Orlando.

I like Pizza hut is there a Pizza Hut in The Villages ?The Pizza Hut in Wildwood delivers. We've ordered twice from there after recently learning they deliver, the latest being yesterday. In the Past I've never been impressed by what Pizza Hut had. That was back north. But the Pizza Hut here was a different story. We did enjoy the pizza. We apprehensively had their pasta's yesterday, and were found them surprisingly enjoyable. I don't know if they deliver to the furthest reached of The Villages from Wildwood, but I know they do deliver here in Hadley and also in the area around Belevedere Blvd.

The Domino's in Wildwood delivers to the south area of TV. We love their 'thin n crispy' and picked up two 3 topping mediums yesterday for $12 because we were in the area, delivery would of been $2 more.

We've eaten at the Pizza Hut in Leesburg about five times, it's right below the 27/441 split on the right side of 441. We liked Pizza Hut up north and tried to like that one but the bathrooms are so filthy we quit going because it makes for an unpleasant experience, we'll have to try the PIzza Hut in Wildwood.

Our favorite pizza was Pauly's at SS, but unfortunately they closed and in their spot the new Flippers we've tried once. Arrived around noon and had to stand just inside the front door for 20 minutes waiting for a table. Eventually there must of been ten couples waiting behind us all crowded inside the door, kind of like Steak N Shake when they're packed. After we got our table we then waited another 25 minutes for two small personal pizzas. I complained to the manager when people at the next table got their pizza 10 minutes before us and we were there 5 minutes before them. He gave us coupons for free pizzas, but that pizza upset my stomach so much I'll never go back, free or not.

Cici's at Colony was OK, you can't complain about the price, the buffet is very cheap. However you can't help but notice a lot of strange people in there, especially they had a big round table taking up one whole end of the room with about 15 people seated all playing cards. It made for a strange atmosphere.

I LOVE PIZZA! Once of my favorite food groups! I have had them all, from frozen to Cici's to Bravo and Flippers. Honestly I think Flippers and Bravo are my favorite so far in The Villages. That being said, I still eat at Pizza Hut, have enjoyed Cici's when I was in a hurry, and popped a frozen pizza into the oven when it was snowing and I was not in the mood to go out.

When it comes to pizza - no one will ever agree. So just go out and have a slice of your favorite and enjoy!

When it comes to "food" people will never agree and that is a good thing because that is why we have so many options and versions of those options

FWIW we really like Papa John's for delivery. Great online ordering system and prompt delivery from Lady Lake. When eating out, Mallory has excellent stone oven personal pizzas - the portabella swiss is to die for, especially with added sausage.

This really ought to be posted in the old-time expressions thread, but seems more appropriate here. "There's no accounting for taste, said the old lady who kissed the cow!"

Don't bother asking me what it means. My grandmother said it all the time, and I don't know what it means, either! rofl!!

I never would have considered this option until a friend recommended it...Walmart's pizza displayed near the deli department. It's good! And cheap!

Nevertheless, my DH has come up with a wonderful homemade crust then grills one side of the crust until golden brown. He then flips it over, adds the toppings and cheese, closes the lid and grills it until done. The most delicious pizza I've ever had!

Sounds good. Would he be willing to share his crust recipe?

After me raving over the "new" thin crust pizzas known as Artisan Pizzas, I decided to checkout their website for MSG, etc...........I wrote to customer service and received this "form letter"............quick response.

All of the additives are not healthy at all.......so again, although not a vegan nor vegetarian.........making it from scratch seems to be the wise thing to do.....avoid processed foods.

There is also a Pizza Hut on 441 across from Walmart (in the same shopping center as Mcdonalds and St. John Seafood). I know they deliver to our section of TV (we live in Alhambra).

That being said, while I occasionally enjoy Papa John's and Pizza Hut, I prefer Flippers. I also enjoy making my own Mediterranean style pizza with spinach, goat cheese, sauteed onions, mushrooms, olives, and artichokes.
