Just came to this realization this week....I don't have a clue what day of the week it is! It's taken almost 6 years to reach this point....:loco:
Before retirement, work schedules kept you aware of each day, early retirement also had a schedule....there was so much to do. Your calendar would quickly fill with things scheduled...contractors, appointments, club meetings, golf dates, etc. After a while, life settles into what you want it to be, you become selective in your choices of events, most of the work you have wanted done to make your new home yours, has been completed and finally, everyday is Saturday! The past month has been hectic at my house and we've been busy and our minds preoccupied with things going on around here. It didn't really matter what day it was, life was going on and we had to keep up. Know what? It's not so bad forgetting what day it is... :). I'm sure my parents and St. Peter are having a good laugh, especially since I always wondered why the heck they didn't always know what day it was, nor cared?...lolol
