Default It's official, I don't know what day it is!!!

Just came to this realization this week....I don't have a clue what day of the week it is! It's taken almost 6 years to reach this point....
Before retirement, work schedules kept you aware of each day, early retirement also had a schedule....there was so much to do. Your calendar would quickly fill with things scheduled...contractors, appointments, club meetings, golf dates, etc. After a while, life settles into what you want it to be, you become selective in your choices of events, most of the work you have wanted done to make your new home yours, has been completed and finally, everyday is Saturday! The past month has been hectic at my house and we've been busy and our minds preoccupied with things going on around here. It didn't really matter what day it was, life was going on and we had to keep up. Know what? It's not so bad forgetting what day it is... . I'm sure my parents and St. Peter are having a good laugh, especially since I always wondered why the heck they didn't always know what day it was, nor cared?...lolol

Congratulations!!! Isn't it grand? I asked hubby today, "Do we need to be somewhere...or be doing something?" His answer, "Not that I know of." LOL

Pooh, you deserve to have everyday be Saturday. But today Helene and I are coming over to play cards at one...or is it Mexican Train? Or was it Bridge? It's too hot for all of us to play golf.........

Is today Friday? I know it isn't Sunday because we didn't get the BIG paper............

I will be forgetting what day it is in 4 months and 1 day. Today I am very aware of what day it is. TGIF.

Default Here you go.....

Just for you, Pooh. I actually bought one of these, in anticipation of my own retirement at the end of next year.

Lol, Quirky, I do have one. Also bought it before Mike officially retired. The clock was originally in the kitchen, near our calendar.....now it's in the bathroom. Always had a clock in the bathroom while still working. Now my day clock is on the wall, but doesn't seem to be doing us much good....seems you have to actually LOOK at it to see what day it is....
Thank you so much for thinking of me.....

That's my method. If the automotive section is there, it's Friday. If there are grocery ads, it's Wednesday. If it's really heavy, it's Sunday. The other days are just fill-ins.
