For those of you who enjoy reading the history of food choices, while staying dry and away from the winds and rain, the below link is interesting..........just keep scrolling down till you get to the present times; it will surely make the vegan or vegetarian members happy.
After an interesting history lesson on the years following the first thanksgiving......the timeline covers all the following centuries.
How times have changed. I was just pre planning our Thanksgiving celebration when I came upon this interesting hyperlink.
It's VERY LONG. 1621 to 2006 Thanksgiving dinner in Iraq.
My own mom had to pluck the feathers from her Thanksgiving turkey in 1946, prior to heading to the hospital to have my baby brother, as did my mom in law...........both told stories of how it was "back then".
We are so blessed.
