View Full Version : Chicken with cream cheese and jarlsberg

CHICKEN WITH CREAM CHEESE AND JARLSBERG (4 PERSON)
Chicken or pork fillets
1 tin peaches or apricots
Flour to coat
Salt, pepper and paprika powder (I usually don't bother with the paprika)
1/2 tsp chilli powder (I exclude as I don't like it)
oil, butter, margarine (or whatever, for frying)
1 tablespoon flaked almonds (if liked)
7 fl oz stock
( 4fl oz) fruit 'juice'
125gr ( 4 oz) carton natural cream cheese
1 tbsp soyasauce
4 oz grated Jarlsberg
Turn fillets in flour and seasoning (I usually shake them in a plastic bag), brown nicely and place in a fireproof dish

Fry almonds lightly (no oil or cooking fat) and shake over fillets. Heat stock and mix with cream cheese, fruit syrup and soy sauce.
Cover and cook in oven for 45 minute at 175C (Moderate oven, 350F gas 4)

Remove lid, add fruit and top with grated Jarlsberg
Brown for 10 min
Serve with rice and a green salad.
