The new cart from Country Club Hills to the Lowes parking lot is finally open. It is a big improvement over the original path and certainly way better than the temporary cross country trek that we have been doing.
I do need to complain however. The final 150 yards or so is apparently being left as a dirt path. Why? How much could it have been to have the asphalt people add this small section done while they were there doing the bigger project? It would have made a lot of people happy and it doesn't seem like it would have been anything when included in a multi million dollar project?
How much would it cost to lay down 150 yards of asphalt 15 feet wide?
Don't get me wrong. I'm thrilled that the new path is open and like I said it's a big improvement. It just seems to me that if you're going to do something, do it all the way. Especially when all the way means just a very small amount more.
I use this path a lot so obviously I have something at stake and am simply being selfish about this. I want to put that right up front before everyone else puts that up.
