Default New Cart Path Finally Open

The new cart from Country Club Hills to the Lowes parking lot is finally open. It is a big improvement over the original path and certainly way better than the temporary cross country trek that we have been doing.
I do need to complain however. The final 150 yards or so is apparently being left as a dirt path. Why? How much could it have been to have the asphalt people add this small section done while they were there doing the bigger project? It would have made a lot of people happy and it doesn't seem like it would have been anything when included in a multi million dollar project?
How much would it cost to lay down 150 yards of asphalt 15 feet wide?

Don't get me wrong. I'm thrilled that the new path is open and like I said it's a big improvement. It just seems to me that if you're going to do something, do it all the way. Especially when all the way means just a very small amount more.

I use this path a lot so obviously I have something at stake and am simply being selfish about this. I want to put that right up front before everyone else puts that up.

Don't know just a thought maybe it wasn't their property or it's a ROW or maybe it'll be finished at a later time.

They constructed some kind of deep hole with a fence around it adjacent to the cart path. Maybe it's a retaining pond or something, but it looks like they built on that land. Also it appears that the dirt cart path will also be used to get acces to this hole, whatever it is.

Interesting - I just took the bumpy trek over the dirt road to Lowes on Monday, and it was its usual washboard self. Apparently they paved it pretty quickly.

What is the approximate distance from where the pavement ends to the Walmart parking lot?

I took the new cart access road to Lowes yesterday. The old "trail" that started behind The Villages Urgent Care has been replaced by what appears to be a new street that is a continuation of the street in front of Urgent Care. I don't know the street name, but there are plenty of signs directing carts to take this new route. When you reach the end of the new street, you turn right then left on a dirt path that goes to Lowes - I'd say it's 150 yards. I'm sure that this is temporary, but you can't tell what the final configuration will be.

I drove it yesterday to Lowes myself. I think it's a nice improvement and quicker. Hopefully a new side street to that new pavement will eventually connect it.

Has there been a resolution to the Aldi's to Walmart path, between Progress Energy and Walmart?

Hopefully EdV can give us an update about the path.
