Hi all:
I was going through our ATT cell phone bill which I don't do often because it is always the same amount. I noticed a $2.99 charge for "roadside assistance". I thought that was strange and looked it up on line. It is a motor club similar to AAA. I have a new car which comes with this service and called AT&T because I had never signed up for it. I talked with customer service and unknown to me I had been paying for this since March of 2011! She agreed to take three month's worth off my bill which would have been $9.00. As I was on hold I began a little google research. It seems that AT&T was busted by the Attorney General in 2012 for this charge which was put on cell phone bills in Florida. I e-mailed her the article which was on a whistleblower website. All of a sudden she changed her tune and credited me $79.00 on my next bill which was the amount I had paid since 2011. It's worth checking out.
