We lived and worked in the UK for several years and still have British friends who regularly keep in touch with us. This email and video was sent to us by one of them, this to me is horrifying and should be shown all over the civilized world.

First, the email from our friends:
It is amazing for me to see the influx of muslims; however, the real shocker is to see the much larger U.K. cities that have been taken over by Islamics such as Birmingham .

And, as you already know, on Friday afternoons, some of the major streets in London are completely shut down by hoards of Muslims who fill the streets for prayer, thus stopping all traffic.

I hate to add, there seems to be absolutely no solution in sight for this exponentially growing take over by a foreign religious culture that does not assimilate but actually conflicts with British culture.

This video is chilling and makes the point. I would really be curious to see how people advocating "more understanding" and "the bad guys are just a small percentage" along with "Christians have done horrible things etcc" respond to this. It is right there for you to assess. This is NOT what we want in America ... period.

The UK is pretty much toast. We still have time to state the obvious ... unless Muslims assimilate (which means they become melting pot Americans like everyone else) it's NOT going to work. And we should face that reality. The Brits obviously have not and seem to be truly crippled by the PC disease coupled with multiculturalism gone amok

I am trying to understand this.

It is wrong to be so polite in this world and so "correct" that we can't talk about real things that are happening.

I am shocked to find that I must be a racist. I certainly didn't want to be.

I generally meet each new person in my life and just see that person, not their skin tone on their faith. But I can see that I have changed into something that I have never admired. I still do that, but the world is changing and hatred is stewing.

I keep trying to find some clue as to how to do what is the right thing, without ignoring what is changing.

I feel a cold creeping fear that I have never encountered in my life.

I am trying to understand and find out just what I think.

I am trying to keep an open mind and find some tools in dealing with a completely new situation....in my heart.

I hope that the world situation does not enter our back yard.

That is so selfish.

What CAN be done to make this better.

I don't want to be a bigot or a racist. I want to be a person who finds good.

But I don't want to be unaware of things that are changing. And danger among us.

The video I see at that link is of one peaceful, law-abiding demonstration in one city by a group of people who have a strong opinion about one event. Not infiltration of an entire country.
I have a close family member who belongs to a christian community with thousands of members all over the world. They dictate what women are allowed to wear, make them subservient to men, and believe that anyone who is not a devout member of their group will burn in hell (including me!). Just sayin!

It was a protest which lasted about one hour (but just happened to be the exact time the video team was walking the town for her homecoming) by about 80 people against a police action. I know nothing of the facts of the strip search in Luton, whether it happened, whether it was done by male or female officers, and whether the gender of the officer is regulated under British law. But I do understand that in Islam the female body is kept hidden and that a devout Muslim would be outraged if Muslim women were being improperly stripped. (I would hope that you would be outraged if any woman of any faith was being strip searched without sufficient cause.) That allegation is what led to a march to the police station in Luton which this "English girl returns home" came prepared to film and goaded the marchers who were already upset against the perceived (real or not) offense to Muslim women into being argumentative. I must say I especially enjoyed her outrage that the ?cleric told her that unless she is a Muslim she is going to hell. The above quote from the post strikes me as the one I will go by.

I will, however, use my common sense and my native intellect to decide whom I wish to trust and whom I do not as we all have in our lives.

Those who have been preaching to me how terrible I, and others like me, are because we fear something that WANTS to be mysterious, has beheaded fellow citizen, has decried all fibers of our society, who publicly keeps on saying they want to kill us can preach all they want.

You can bring up crusades (a medivial reaction to muslim terrorism), past history, other religions, whatever you want to defend those who want to kill me and my ilk.

I will decide FOR ME who to fear and will not fear you (a generic you for those of this ilk who want to make us all feel guilty) calling me a racist or whatever name you might choose.

I have seen public beheadings....I have witnessed terrorism WORLD WIDE.....I have heard the threats on my country....I have heard the threats on my fellow citizens.

Thank you for your lecture, but I do not have "Islamophobia" or any other phobia that is used today to make people feel guilty. We are not discussing here how to react to a neighbor.....how to react to another golfer......we are discussing reacting to a WORLD WIDE movement with public goals stated very very clearly and a movement who not only states what they want, but shows the mean it.

I really don't get where you jump to "this is just a bunch of Isalmophobia" and then throw in the various "hate" comparisons, and then conclude, in effect, there is no big deal here.

It's pretty obvious for those who can see, as the young woman in the video attempted to document. If one flat out wants to deny it, not much that can be done. You're entitled to your opinion of course ... as long as you live in a Sharia-free country that is.

BTK ... I think you have analyzed it correctly.

Another factor in the mix is denial of reality by many Americans. This issue is a very painful, goes against our democratic grain, and some will be unable to admit or cope with it. Thus it's not surprising to see that some will simply continue to deny it.

I will be honest. I would question the motive to myself, as I would if suddenly a
Hasidic Jewish community would suddenly appear or an Amish community.

You are confusing our normal lives with folks wanting to kill, which I suppose then gives license to call anyone who feels as I do a racist or bigot.

Let's face the facts and admit that you have to be careful what you wish for. Many wished democracy for Egypt with open elections. Wonder what happen! Ooops----Muslins won the election and immediately started imposing their Religion and culture on the rest of the population. As another poster mentioned, few in the media are making an issue of the Christian churches burned in Egypt and Christians killed just because of their beliefs. Go to any large city....you will encounter women in burqa's (sp). Been to the Midwest?? Mosques as well..I've seen them! That Somalians are prolifically represented in the Twin Cities...and I'm told in other locales as well. Then there's Deerborn, MI---I've heard Sharia law has inched in there as well.

Have a friend who rents here yearly from Halifax---says there's a prolification of Muslims there as well. P.C.???? One just needs to look around in the larger communities.

Oh, I must share here that one day last winter encountered a young woman standing in line at the Lake Sumter theater wearing traditional Muslim clothing, not the burqa...but the long apparel with the head-covering. A relative of someone here? A wife of a professional??? NOT sure...but it was different for sure in this retirement community!

I just wonder if a large group of Muslims built a mosque in Wildwood and began attending concerts at Brownwood or Lake Sumter Landing in their traditional clothing, how you all would react. Any thoughts?

I have visited London and Paris yearly(husbands business) since 1980. It is just not the same any more. All things that made London so British and Paris so French are disappearing. Yes, Big Ben and the Eiffel Tower are still there but the flavor of the city has changed due to the influx of Muslim's. I don't understand why people move to a country or city because it is a wonderful place to live and then try to make it like the place they left.

No, not bait of any kind but just wondering what kind of welcome these people might get from Villagers.

I know there are quite a few Muslim doctors with practices in and around The Villages. There is also a mosque located on Hwy 27 this side of Clermont about 45 miles from The Villages. This is a very real possibility that Wildwood could get a mosque and The Villages town squares are open to everyone.

Hummmm. I am on the verge of saying ALL religions suck. I see more prejudice in all religion than out of it. Lets hear from some ATHEISTS. Who do Atheists fear and hate? They may just have the solution for the entire world. Religion is responsible for mass murder throughout recorded history. Where do Atheists stand on violence and what would make an Atheist mad enough to kill? I must add, that most Christians kill in support of their governmental where Muslims will take sharia law on individually and kill indiscriminately. For sure, if the whole world was Atheist, we would have one less reason to kill each other over.

OK fine.....they are not entitled to any more of a "welcome" or not than any other race or religion moving in to the area. And as long as they do not expect the rest of us to change our laws, rules, beliefs, menus, dress or anything else......as long as they are prepared to let us live our life style as we have without gripping about a ham sandwich on a school menu .......then come on in/down/over/whatever.

I would take this one step farther. If any person lives in this country AND uses anything supported by tax dollars like schools, roads, government services, the US laws and only the US laws apply. If you have a drivers license it will have your uncovered face on it and you will show the lic and face during a traffic stop, etc. Muslim law must NEVER be taken over US law EVER. If you cannot abide by US law 100%, then get your burka out of this land. This is one area that if we give an inch, it will be the first step to losing our way of life.

I don't think the type of person who is a doctor in TV is likely to be a radical. I have to believe they are sending their children to school in order to be educated (girls as well as boys), they are probably making a very good living from their medical practices and they are probably living in very nice homes. I cannot bring myself to believe they would want to march in the streets and recommend violence against their adopted country. After all there is not much left back in their home lands for educated people, they've blown up most of it!

I do, however, wish that American Muslims would come out against radical Muslims who want to turn the world into Afghanistan. I believe this problem can only be solved from the inside out. No amount of aggression from the West is going to make a difference until rational Muslims rise up against the radical tyranny.

A case in point is Nazi Germany - didn't large numbers of the elite leave when they saw the handwriting on the wall - I believe that's how we got the atom bomb!

The hypotesis or premise requires one huge assumption...that all fears are spawned based on religious differences.....which is an assumption for the sake of example/discussion.....but it would fail the reality test as fear is much, much more than just a religious manifisatation.
