Download a gps map program to your smartphone if you can't update your car's gps.

I bought a new Garmin last spring but took it back as it did not have any of the new area.
What model do you have?

The model doesn't matter. They set in a warehouse or store and get out of date. They must be upgraded especially around here with everything constantly changing. Best bet is to by a Garmin with lifetime updates.

Does that cost each time you upgrade, or do you have a plan that keeps upgrading for free?

With a smartphone, Google Maps is an excellent choice - they update it constantly, and accurately, in my experience. With a phone stand, it makes an excellent GPS. I recently bought a Garmin with the lifetime updates, but only because the missus still has (and likes) an older flip phone that doesn't have Maps capability.

Yes a Garmin. Be advised that if you buy one today you will have the older maps 2014.2. Now Garmin just released version 2014.3 earlier this week and it has a number of the new streets south on 466a.
Also remember the developer builds streets faster that the mapping service, NAVTEQ, can record them so there will always be a lag.

ps: If I could figure out how to take a screen shot from the GPS and then upload it to TOTV that would give you some idea as to the new area covered.

Was there a charge for the update with your Hyundai when you went to the dealership?

The dealer wanted about $350 to upgrade - told him that was too much and I would pass. A week later I received a coupon for a free upgrade from Hyundai and a box of chocolates - no kidding. Great company to deal with.

If you have a Garmin with lifetime updates, the updates are free. I now have all of the area below 466A.

I use my IPhone for everything GPs. I use free caddy an app from the I tunes store that's free. It gives all the courses here. It will give you a distance to the middle ,front, and back of the green. Just put in our zip code and download the course. I used it last week on mangrove and it worked fine. As for the road it comes with Maps. I used that all the time. It gets me back and forth from south to north.
