We left TV on Friday, 80 degree............got back to Iowa and was hit with 12 degrees. Why did I leave???...........The 16 family members coming over today for TG could have gotten a long without me.

there are too many nice days to do things like golf on the bad days (what ever bad may be).

I was just out raking the last of the leaves that we did not get done and it is 22 degrees out right now, at least the sun is shining today. I can't wait until Dec. 17th when we head down to The Villages for a few months.

I was out for a little bit this morning. I wouldn't like a steady diet of it, but there is something about a grey, cold, blustery day that I really like. Perhaps it's just the memories of playing football up north till our ears and noses were frozen and then coming inside for some hot cocoa. Or walking through the park with your first girlfriend as the leaves fell all around you.

Golf is definitely out of the question up our way.....................although is is a balmy +1 C (34 degrees) today.
Here is a picture from a couple days ago, at least the lake is not frozen yet.

It's 15 degrees at our summer home in Canada today. We are so blessed to spend summers there, and not winters!! :cold:
Once we arrive in The Villages, it always amazes me how quickly we adjust to 80 degree temperatures; and how cool we feel when it drops 20 degrees.

Hey kid; Is it sympathy that you're looking for??? Try 16 degrees this morning and nearly an inch of snow.....and my wife woke up this morning and said "....we have a house in TV and we're here???" Two children and three grandchildren that are nearly adults is why we are here...for this year anyway. Sorry, no sympathy from us today ha,ha,ha!!!

I just googled 'pud' and have no idea if I should call anyone that as I could not find the definition :a20:

We played today. Not too cold (and I am a fair weather player), but not a great day for golf. It is amazing how much effect the wind can have on a little white ball....

I am about to take my lab assistant out for a cart ride. I will be bundling up! For you folks up north.... we are not wimps down here, come on down and stay.... you will soon understand how cold 59 degrees is with an 18 MPH NE wind :beer3:

I didn't move to Florida for this. On the other hand, it's currently 63 and cloudy here. It's 22 in Boston.

to tell them that it is COLD out there, with the wind chill it's 39...Yipsters!

I don't mind the cool weather, but I do worry about people who are traveling this holiday. Flyers and drivers could be in a world of trouble if the snow comes as predicted.

It's cold and damp and windy today in Tampa too.
But watching the Green Bay game is really making me feel cold!

I actually feel like the holidays are coming with this cool weather. I am not complaining it is still warm when you look at the rest of the country. I am going to turn on my electric fireplace and snuggle up with a book.

Played golf today and heard the polo match very loudly and actually it was fun, noise, wind and all.

Had so many clothes on I could barely draw back the club.

In Illinois for the Holidays. I understand when our Son says "I can't sympathize with you Dad"---it was 11 degrees here this morning! That "60 something" weather is looking pretty good right now.

I'm in Maryland for Thanksgiving. It's 21 degrees, so no complaining about 66. :o)

I was at the polo match and with a stong wind and it was chilly. I had a sweatshirt and light jacket but wasn't thinking of the wind chill factor because I would have worn a heavier jacket with a hat. It's very doable.

I used to be amsed when villagers said it was cold when I was up north, as I was siting at my desk, looking out at the snow coming down and temps were in single digits.

Now that I am here, I have goten use to the warmer temperatures and it does get chilly as I am used to always wearing shorts and t-shirt with sandals.

I think both sides are right in feeling the cold, but it much easier in TV, just to wear tha appropriate clothing and do, what you want to do. It's much more preferable than the snow and the hazarous road conditions one has to deal with. IMHO

Oh, come on.....that's a HEAT WAVE. I saw your temps on the weather thingie online and figured folks in Florida would feel that dip in temp.

We were super cold yesterday and on Thanksgiving it's predicted to be 7 degrees and 9 degrees for a low on the holiday itself.

Wish we were in the Florida temps. 66 with sunshine is beautiful weather.

Our 17 degrees and 27 degrees (as it rose) were bone chilling on Sunday.

Thank goodness for a good oil furnace.......

Happy Thanksgiving......hopefully a warmer one.

I'm about to leave South Sudan Africa, where it's 90 degrees or more for Boston for December. Love going home but really dreading winter. I am coming to TV for a week, so that will be fun.

I was sitting in my deer blind just the other day and it was -5F! Talk about cold! I saw a bunch of does but no Mr. Buck. Probably wouldn't have shot him anyway.
