Patty, I'm going to put on my cap lock and say I THOUGHT YOUR BUCKNER COMMENT WAS PRETTY FUNNY. Don't let the PC police get you down.

Buckner a real MVP! But who could forget Bucky Dents ball over that wall in 1978!

Very nice video, very touching IMO.

I am a life time Red Sox fan. After last fall, I put my membership on hold :rant-rave:

Not to play "I can beat that" but.....I sold my MA home and moved to The Villages! Bought on the second day of my first-time-ever visit.

Aren't Bill Buckner comments, like, y'know, so 1980s like???

When I was in college I used to referee basketball games at the women's prison in Danvers and on the way back to school we would stop at Hilltop for a $2.95 fabulous steak dinner !

As a Yankee fan, let me offer my condolences. Baseball lost a good guy today!

Being a die-hard Yankee fan all of my life, I am not a Red Sox lover.

However, I have to agree with Barryrx. Baseball lost a good one.

The rivalry should last but that doesn't diminish the talent that is on both sides.

No surprises by me. Couldn't have happened to a "nicer" guy. His mouth is almost as big as Ozzie Guillen's. Bobby V. knows his baseball but he can't deal with people. He should take some tips from Joe Torre.

I predict John Farrell at the helm of the Bosox!

Tom Hannon 10-04-2012 01:04 PM

I believe Farrell is a done deal. The BOSOX just need to come up with some compensation to The Blue Jays. I don't think trading managers is what The Blue Jays are looking for. Not sure if giving up a young player like Pedro Ciriaco would be too much of compensation.
