You should come to the meeting of The Villages NY Yankees Club. It is the 4th Monday of every month at Allemanda rec center. However, they are not meeting this month. Next meeting will be 9/25 at 7PM. Their website is http://yanksintv.yolasite.com if you want to check them out.

Swisher's contract is up at the end of 2012, I believe. Do the Yanks try to resign him, or let him walk? He'll be expensive ...........

I think this Ichiro fella can play a little right field.

I know, but I just love his hustle.
Looks like he really enjoys playing and always giving 100 %.

I also hope they keep him. Then, there's gonna be Grandy and Cano to deal with. Hope they can keep all 3 of them.

Wish A-Rod would agree to re-negotiate. He sucks up a lot of $$.

Andrew Jones is a DH only. It is hard to believe how bad he is as a fielder now. A once good glove outfielder should never wear a glove again. Play Ichiro full time in left...between both lefties and nighties. or occasionally play Ibanez in left. As far as Swisher goes, I like him but the Yankees can't afford to sign Cano and Granderson and have enough payroll to pay Swisher as well. I would also like Ichiro to hang around next year but at what price. Will he settle for a contract for 3 million? I doubt it.

I would like to commend Brian Cashman for the trades he made and didn't make. Getting rid of Burnett and getting Ibanez, Jones and keeping Eric Chavez, (what a year he's having). Getting Ichiro and Derek Lowe.

The Yankees are playing good baseball with these role players. Hopefully, we will get Pettite and Rodriguez back in time for the playoffs. A healthy CC will sure go a long way. I am impressed by the way Kuroda has pitched.

GO YANKEES!!!!

And, I must admit, I have basically never liked this guy - Hughes has pitched fairly well.
Wanted him traded.

Pitching staff SHOULD be okay for playoffs (I hope, I hope). Wish #42 could return !

Well, Phil got the win tonight. 7IP, 0 ER - admittedly against a weak Red Sox club.

DON'T CARE LOL ! A win is a win.

The other guy I finally thought of whom I was glad to see go (and is now pitching well) was A J Burnett!

Some guys just can't pitch in NY. they leave and become stars. Oh well.

This is very true. Some people can't play in N.Y.

I am interested in how David Phelp's does in his second start for CC.

Go Yankees!!!!

Pitching against a NL club is not quite the same as pitching an AL club.

Okay, all is right with the world - The Yankees took 2 of 3 from the Red sox.
