So would you expel OJ?

Since he was found not guilty, I would very reluctantly say keep him in.

I would vote them into the Hall of Fame. Maybe not heaven but what they did on the field merits their inclusion.

If you start bringing moral character then you can probably kick out quite a few players like Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth.

The veterans committee should get these deserving players into the Hall of Fame this summer at induction time.

OJ was found not guilty in the criminal trial where the burden of proof was beyond a reasonable doubt.

He was found liable in the civil trial where the burden was by a preponderance of the evidence.

MLB has been unremarkable for years. And its base is now older fans, and then the youth fans that bet on their phones. Younger fans only see the history of two guys who were liked but broke the rules. Like other sports, they have slowly but surely driven out families to get the golden goose of corporate seats. Short version, no one cares about this issue. And those that do either think it was heartless to wait until they're dead, or capitulating to the bettors.

I agree. Baseball isn’t what it used to be. When I was young we would walk to the ball fields and watch the games. We played 500 in the front yard and collected baseball cards. We knew who won the World Series. Football was around, but wasn’t what baseball was in popularity. Baseball just isn’t there anymore. We are the last of a generation.
