Do you have Xfinity/Comcast?
Changed to their Mobile Service about 2 years ago when my Version contract expired and Verizon was not offering any reasonable phone deals. I was a long time Version customer. Have tried other services and the coverage areas were not as good. Found out Xfinity/Comcast used Verizon towers. No phone or customer service issues. Great deal for us. Look into it.

When I called Sprint they would put me to the top of some kind of priority list for data and for about a day I would have data. Then I was throttled back to a spinning wheel on my screen. When I tried to cancel my service they would place me on hold for a long time and then "accidentally" disconnect my call. This happened 7 times in a row taking several hours. Finally I got a very nice lady who knew what I was going through and explained how bad things were in Sprint.

AT&T and Verizon are great but they're the most expensive the last time I checked.

Very close to my experience. I could have been on Sprint's Tech Support Team. It was a brutal experience.

The attraction of Free Phones, if I've got that correct, is a Big Magnet to attract a person to a Company that has been spotty in the past. Who knows maybe they have made strides in a better direction lately with their merger. I would either stick with Verizon or give Xfinity a try. I hate to see anyone suffer.

I noticed that the Cricket Store in Spanish Springs appears to be a victim of the recent events. Such nice people and many people around us use their service.

Phone service

I have pre paid $35.00 per mo. Unlimited everything. Track phone has everything on it. Snow bird. Fl to NY. Never had a dead spot or phone issues. Also have google navigation on the phone, takes me from door to door, no issues. It is totally wireless, and my phone was $45.00. Was easy to set up as well.

I have Verizon pre-paid...... The plan is $40.00 a month, less $5.00 because I'm on auto pay. So for 35.00 a month I have unlimited talk and text.... and 6 GB of data. I think right now they are offering more data for the same price for new subscribers. Unless you stream movies on your phone, there's no need for that much data. I have cable internet at home. Verizon has the best coverage, it's a no brainer.

Verizon seems to work better in our rural areas.

Do yourself a favor and go with Consumer Cellular. Much cheaper than either Verizon or Sprint. We switched our land line to a cell phone adapter and have 2 regular cell phones(which we bought Moto G7 power phones for $150 each from them) and unlimited texts and calls(LD included) and a huge amount of data usage for $74/month with taxes included. They piggy back on AT&T or T-Mobile cell service (you can choose which one you want)so we don't have problems with reception. I put our home adapter and my wife's phones on AT&T and my cell phone on Tmobile because they have an international phone access plan. Before the virus, we were visiting Europe for a month each summer and this worked well for phone access there. We've been with them every since we dropped the expensive Verizon plans.

Don't do it........been there.

If you use Xfinity, you can get cell phone service through them/Verizon for a lot less than discussed above.

We have had Sprint service for several years and are currently on it til June this year. The coverage is decent, not great. Best part is that the bill is consistently the same month after month. Worst part is we are paying over $120/mo. and that is not even unlimited coverage. I would recommend against. We are definitely switching next month but not yet decided where to.

No senior plan but good reception.

Sprint was just purchased by T-Mobile. Might want to check with those that have T-Mobile.

We have T-Mobile which seems to work better here than back at our other residence in Texas.

This merger is supposed to give T-mobile more tower coverage than anyone else. Supposedly the Sprint brand will be folded into T-Mobile and everything will be T-Mobile within the coming year. Hope this helps.
