Xfinity Mobile is just $20 per month with the same coverage as Verizon.

Good sound but may not be usable after one year, check tmobile end of 3g in your area

Sprint has been acquired TMobile so now you will have both networks coverage if your phone has all of each others channels. Make sure there is good service at the place where you use the phone the most, ie home

If you have Comcast TV service their phone service uses Verizon network and is very reasonable as long as you don't use an excessive amount of data

Sprint will be GONE!

T-Mobile and Sprint officially became one last month, and the two networks have already begun merging their networks. We’ve known for a while that the Sprint brand would be phased out in favor of T-Mobile as well, but now we know when.

T-Mobile CEO Mike Seivert said the company will transition to a unified brand starting this summer. The process was originally expected to begin in early summer, but COVID-19 pushed it to mid-summer instead:

:ho:

You will be very sorry if you switch! Sprint sucks!

navair4me 05-24-2020 01:51 PM

we have used sprint since we got our first "flip phone" version cell phones back in the late 1990's, when we moved to FL several years ago we have continued to use Sprint with no problem.

Should really consider T-Mobile.

Have driven cross country several times with only 2 dead zones, one in Kansas and one in Utah, both covered by no one, otherwise no problems. Since the 2 companies will merge soon, don't think you can go wrong with switching and taking advantage of the 2 phone deal you mentioned. T Mobile has excellent service and 2 stores here in the Villages. If you're a veteran T Mobile gives you an additional discount, see if Sprint does as well. I'd go for it before they drop that deal

Thanks for your positive information. We went to Sprint today and the deal is done!

I wish you luck CoffeeBean. :)

Thanks Nucky. I just found out today T Mobile has merged with Sprint and there will be many more towers. The Sprint name will be going away.

Lesson Learned. It was from miserable service and I usually let grudges go towards companies that improve but just a personal belief that I have is Sprint is about as stable as Jello. They may have improved but not enough to change from Verizon IMHO.

Verizon can be aggravating sometimes but I don't think you can beat the service. That 55+ plan they offer with Unlimited Data is dirt cheap.

My Vote = DON"T DO IT! :cryin2:

If you have a strong signal in your location, any phone service will do fine. If you travel and especially if you go To remote locations like mountains or parks, Verizon has by far the best coverage.
True story. I lead motorcycle tours as the chapter Director of a Gold Wing Motorcycle Club. While in remote locations I would often need to call ahead for lunch reservation for The group. If I could not find a signal on my Sprint phone, I would ask for a phone with signal bars and it would always be Verizon.

Consider Mint Mobile. They are an MVNO that uses T-Mobile's network. $15 per month for unlimited voice and text and 3 gigabytes of data, pre-paid.
