Just about anybody- State Farm ie

michtofla 06-06-2020 08:29 AM

Allstate. $60/year

donassaid 06-06-2020 08:33 AM

Try Allstate Ins. Saved me about 40% off the old rates with Foremost. They also offer sinkhole insurance with only a $500 deductible where other companies' deductibles are $20,000 or more.

Dr Winston O Boogie jr 06-06-2020 08:37 AM

Although it's a large increase percentage wise, I personally couldn't be bothered to take the time to find another company over $55.

boatorgolf 06-06-2020 08:49 AM

Foremost

Foremost $90

Dlbonivich 06-06-2020 09:02 AM

Be aware that some golf cart insurance attached to your homeowners policy only covers you to and from the golf course and not the way most Villagers use their cart.

J1ceasar 06-06-2020 09:15 AM

coverage and cost

It all depends on coverage - just comprehensive is $44

erhrph 06-06-2020 09:16 AM

Try shopping for your home & auto insurance & then adding golf cart insurance to the package. Insurance prices vary by car type obviously, but since I have a Tesla, Progressive insurance was the cheapest. DO NOT BUY YOUR INSURANCES SEPARATELY!

are you going out with $40 for a few nights my stimulus tip at blue fin last night was $50 lol

newbie1758 06-06-2020 09:29 AM

We have Allstate . 2 carts (1 electric & 1 gas) $120 for both.
:)

charlieo1126@gmail.com 06-06-2020 09:30 AM

Hmmm $500 sinkholes deductible like to read the fine print in that one

transplanted 06-06-2020 09:37 AM

I don't know the costs/etc (husband handles all that and he's away, trapped in VA), but we have ours with USAA.

tlshoe 06-06-2020 09:48 AM

I have golf cart insured through State Farm and just got my next bill—it’s for $125.

nikonuser1 06-06-2020 09:48 AM

Golf cart ins.

When my GC ins. premium went way up a couple of years ago, I went back to the Villages Ins. agent. She looked at the policy as said the ins. co. must have changed my cart information. So she changed it back, asked me to give a new value of the cart, and my premium went down about $100. The ins. co. does not depreciate your cart every year so they inflate the premium. You know that if something happens they will depreciate then so they won't have to pay out on the claim.

Rhonda West 06-06-2020 10:01 AM

YES - my cart insurance with Foremost doubled!! I called The Villages Insurance and they brokered me insurance for just under $100 for the exact same insurance coverage!

chas39 06-06-2020 10:14 AM

I had them now have Progressive much cheaper

richard cammerron 06-06-2020 10:26 AM

Yeah. Call Allstate I'm paying less than $100.00 a year

Michael A. David 06-06-2020 10:28 AM

Check with All State, insurance on my wifes cart is 50.00 dollars a year. Andrew Beucher 352 357 1994

Holpat39 06-06-2020 10:30 AM

Within the last 3 months I paid $50.00 to Foremost. Down from 135.00. Dropped some of the coverage. If you are with The Villages Insurance Agency check with them about lowering your rate,.

bassfish 06-06-2020 10:40 AM

Golf cart Ins.

All the major coverages with Foremost - $99.00

GMIJFI 06-06-2020 10:48 AM

Same thing happened to us. Switched to Progressive.

LynneH 06-06-2020 01:27 PM

We Check Insurance Coverage Annually

We annually compare our homeowner, auto, and golf cart insurance for the best coverage. We switch if there is a savings of 10% or more.

gday2005 06-06-2020 01:59 PM

I have an older golf cart, so my premium is much cheaper. I have been super pleased with the allstate agent Bascom Agency 352-753-1177.

DeafDeaf 06-06-2020 02:38 PM

I had Allstate for two golf carts at $100 a year for the past 12 years. Then I switch to State Farm, for $158, however, if I combine it with house and automobiles, I save $1,000 a year in the total premiums for all.

Barborv 06-06-2020 03:14 PM

Comparing apples to apples, State farm

Nealg 06-06-2020 03:19 PM

Shop around I pay 109.00 with Allstate

rjm1cc 06-06-2020 03:56 PM

Allstate about $60.00 for the past few years. Cart is not street legal.

buzz48 06-06-2020 04:50 PM

It’s a simple 5 minute phone call to save $55 or more

Lazy?

delima2000 06-06-2020 06:02 PM

We have progressive thru AAA and it is $98.00 For the year

That's who we use. They're really terrific folks. We got a pair of KN95 masks from them, they kept a list of their insured customers who wanted them and passed them out at the office once they came in.

DecaturFargo 06-06-2020 07:25 PM

I have State Farm. My annual premium was $136 last year and my 2021 premium is $118.

SharonW 06-06-2020 11:37 PM

Allstate introduced and wrote the first golf cart stand alone policy In Florida. Allstate has a great golf cart policy.

Yes Allstate offers same deductible for sinkhole as your all perils deductible. $500, $1000 it is how their rating structure is filed through the state, most companies filed 10% deductible through state.

mrf6969 06-07-2020 05:02 AM

Full max coverage with medical on 3 carts with Foremost is $200.00 a year. All Yamaha gas, 2017,2011 and 2007. Just paid premium. I package Home, car, umbrella with Travelers and cart with Foremost but all through The Villages Insurance Brokers. This way I get a package discount. I shop every year and it is the most cost effective way to go. NO tickets or accidents for over 15 years.
Folks post insurance pricing on here but there are so many variables. What is the rest of the story?

Pfavreau 06-07-2020 07:23 AM

Value of the cart.

Just got a quote from Allstate for $112 for full coverage and Progressive for $108 (took Progressive, I have a grudge against Allstate from 30+ years ago plus they were $1200 more than GEICO for my auto insurance).

Progressive Coverage includes (same coverages were quoted for Allstate for $112:

Bodily Injury Liability:$ 250,000 each person $500,000 each accident $24.00
Property Damage Liability: $100,000 each accident $12.00
Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist: $25,000 each person $50,000 each accident - Nonstacked $12.00 (def don't need this but for $12 wtf)
Medical Payments: No Coverage $0.00
Enhanced Injury Protection: No Coverage $0.00
Comprehensive: $100 deductible $25.00
Collision: $250 deductible: $35.00
Roadside Assistance: No Coverage $0.00
Carried Contents®: No Coverage $0.00
Accessory coverage: 3,000 (included) Included
Total rate for this vehicle: $108.00 (paid up front) for 12 months

If I paid monthly it was like $33 more for the year. Did it all online in 10 minutes.

If you have had any accidents, claims, tickets or lousy credit on ANY POLICY you rate can be much higher. I have none of those.

Inotice the value of the cart was not in the list.
My cart was insured for the purchase price when new. Now after two years I is worth at least $3000 less. The insurance companies will only pay you the value of the cart if totaled. I reduced the value on the policy to match its worth and saved a bundle with Formost. Don’t waste money over insuring.

HappyTXVillager 06-07-2020 07:35 AM

Your sinkhole coverage?

Wow! That's a great deal on that sinkhole coverage. Can you tell me which AllState office/agent you use, please?

Golfcart physical damage & liability $5,000/$300,000/$1,000 on my homeowners policy with Olympus = $58

Are you sure it’s their golf carts and not their houses, most of our neighborhood has just gotten new roofs as the home are 20/25 years old,

Bodily injury $250,000 ea person $500,000 ea acc.

Property damage $100,000

Medical payment $5,000 ea person

Uninsured motorist $250,000 ea per, $500,000 ea accident

Collision not to exceed $14,200 less $500 deductible

Other than collision not to exceed $14,200 less $500 ded.

Medical payments is a waste of money on GC (or even car). You have insurance either medicare or private.

Uninsured motorist is also a waste especially at the high rates that are charged for it. You should all DO a LOT of reading about UM in FL. This is a GOLF CART not a car. Once again, if you have medicare or private insurance you are covered. UM (either lower coverage) or not at all is probably 1/3rd or more of your rate.
