54th Birthday
 

Investment Painting Contractors is PROUD to announce it's 54th Birthday. IPC was formed at my kitchen table July 4th 1966 to help me pay for college. I took a semester off to paint a large apartment building in Detroit. I lost my deferment and was in uniform Sept 30th, 1966. I was in Vietnam by 1967. Returning state side in August 1968 stationed at a Nike site in Arlington Heights Illinois. With time left to serve and making $240 a month, I bought a old truck and having to be on duty in the daytime I got a contract painting gas stations over night. Hiring the Vietnam Vets I was stationed with I was able to keep buying trucks and expanding the company.

I finally got discharged and the company kept evolving into a National Painting Co. Painting hundreds of Taco Bells, Walgreens, K Marts Etc. Ending up in Milwaukee for 30 years as our central point and cutting our travels to the Midwest.

Along the way I established a tight crew, all kids including Chris who told me someday he would "OWN" the Company. Well now he does, and to our surprise he moved the company to Summerfield. For the last 13 years he and the guys have made us Very PROUD.

I just had Investment Painters paint my new home and l am very pleased. They are knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. They arrived on time, with a phone call ahead of time to tell me they were on the way. Three painters did the work in about 4-5 hours. As they finished and began to clean up, they asked me walk around to see if there were any areas that needed a touch-up. They also went back and checked their own work. The labeled all of the paint cans and closed them tightly. It looks beautiful and l will use them again for any painting jobs l have.

I would like to gather as many recommendations for Investment Painting Contractors as possible from those of you here who have used them in the past and have them all in one place. Investment Painting Contractors 55th Birthday
 

55 Yrs ago on the 4th of July 1966, Investment Painting was born at my kitchen table in suburban Detroit. I had my first big contract and needed the money for school. When I wasn't enrolled in school by august, I ended up in the Army by Sept, 30th.
After Vietnam I was released from the army in Illinois. I used my travel money to buy and old truck, hired a bunch of Vietnam Vets and went back to work. We were soon painting Shopping centers, High rise office buildings Etc.
After finishing a contract in Florida I went to visit a friend in Milwaukee. Got there on a Sunday and had a contract on Monday. We branched out and became National Painters. We painted hundreds of Taco Bells, K Marts, Burger Kings & Walgreens Thru out the Country.
For the next 30 years we worked out of Wisconsin. I never laid a man off. I had a crew of young guys who could travel. Chris Gibbs grew up on the Truck and has been the "New Owner" for the last 14 Yrs.
Mary and I are very Proud of Chris, and all that he has accomplished. We hope the company will continue to thrive, and would like to "Thank all of you for your "Support"

I highly recommend Investment Painting Contractors. Chris Gibbs made it easy to coordinate the painting of our new home via phone from Ohio. He was professional, respectful, and personable. He willingly worked with our Home Watch to coordinate the schedule. The price was competitive and he used quality Sherwin-Williams paint, my preference. My neighbor relayed to me the crew was professional, and worked efficiently from what she was able to observe.

We received three contractor painting quotes and decided to go with Investment Painting Contractors. Chris Gibbs is the owner. We had the complete interior, exterior, and pool deck painted. The three men that worked on our property were professional, courteous, and did an excellent job. They came on the date we were promised, and they were on time every day. They were fastidious about protecting our furniture and floors with plastic and drop clothes. They also double coated all surfaces, and triple coated a few, to cover the old paint color. We are very happy with the complete job they have done, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a painting contractor.

14 Years ago, I retired and Chris Gibbs a long-time employee took over the Company. It seems he was also tired of the cold weather and slippery roads. He headed south. I would like to add one more accolade to Investment Painting and especially to Chris Gibbs.

When my husband was in the hospital for six weeks lighting in my cathedral kitchen went out. I called a local company and they said the cost to come change the light bulb would have to be close to $100. I mentioned it here on TOTV and Chris Gibbs offered me his services to change that light bulb at no charge. A time was set up and he sent one of his young men to my home, it took him all of five minutes to change the light bulb and I had to fight with him to allow me to show my appreciation by giving him a small gratuity.

I need them right now to do some painting for me will call tomorrow.

Home and Furniture Painting
 

We used Investment Painters last year to paint the main area of our home. We were so pleased by their service that we had them paint 4 pieces of our furniture last week. They are professional, efficient, friendly, and reasonably priced. We highly recommend them and we will use them again when we're ready to paint again.

We used Investment Painters about 11 years ago to paint the interior of our then new home, and they were super. The misses decided that a refresh was in order, so we did our due diligence and got estimates. Chris once again came in with the best price, so we booked them. I find it amazing how fast and efficient their crew is. It took them a total of 8-9 hours to do all the interior walls, and they didn't leave a drip or holiday anywhere! Their crew chief, Henry, couldn't have been more helpful, and was truly a pleasure to deal with, as was the rest of the crew. By the way, the price was close to $500 less. They were on time, did what they promised, and made sure we were satisfied here before leaving

IPC was founded at my kitchen table on July 4th, 1966, to help pay my college tuition.
Having just signed my first major contract to do the final stage painting of a high-rise building, I notified my college that I would take the Fall semester off and return in the Spring. Consequently, I lost my deferment, and ended up in uniform, headed for Viet Nam by 1967.

Returning stateside, I was stationed at a Nike Site in Arlington Heights, IL. Unable to live on $240. a month, I bought an old truck, hired the Viet Nam vets on base, and started painting gas stations throughout Chicago at night. Upon discharge, I kept painting and was able to finish school.

After working all over the US, I settled in Milwaukee, WI., where I put together a young crew, including Chris Gibbs. We painted Walgreen's, Taco Bells, K Marts, etc. throughout the state on a regular basis, along with hundreds of homes and many other businesses.

Mary and I brought the crew to FL to do an extensive rehab on our retirement home in The Villages. We moved into our house a year later, with Chris Gibbs, the new owner of IPC, and the company soon following.

Mary and I are very proud of Chris and the guys. We appreciate all the nice comments and letters from his many customers. We thank you, and wish you all a Happy 4th of July.

We had the same experience. Henry and crew also arrived promptly at 8 am and worked straight through until 4:30. The next day was a half day and the project was done to perfection. Henry supervised the crew directly and it was obvious that he had the respect of the crew.
