Agree about the costs, but did get a full synthetic oil change on a Honda CRV for < $50.

I go to Expert Auto on 441/27. I find them to be honest, fair, and reliable.

Try Sumter Tire and Auto - Rt. 301 - Wildwood, FL. They are a family business and very reasonably priced and honest.

After numerous oil changes at the dealers and a highly rated oil change place I went back to doing my own. I was the only customer that checked their work. Too much oil, not enough oil, missed grease fittings. Lost a lug nut after one service. Those smaller engines need more frequent oil change too. Been using Castrol oil with Wix filters for years.

I have a Cadillac (just for reference) and I go to 5 Minute Oil Change in Leesburg.

They have been great and inn/out of there fast.

Of course... barely drive car (mostly golf cart) so don't get oil changed very often.

Maybe it helps when you change your own oil and filter, that being the only way you can be certain of what goes into your car, last time I had it done for me Walmart clipped a front end suspension component putting it on the rack

I'll get back to changing my own oil once my hip is replaced.
I need to go by time, (every 6 months) instead of miles because of low miles.
Sometime I barely have 1500 miles on.

That's interesting. Have you compared the price of the oil and filter plus the $29 service to the price of their full service change? Does that really save you much money? Are you buying a certain brand of oil, maybe?

Carfax only good for what gets reported. IMO has nothing to do with condition of vehicle. I watched utube video on 1 year old certificated car that was crashed and new owner had big problems which wasn’t reported to carfax. Even under warranty the dealership said good luck. There no true reporting system IMO.

I stopped going there because they are not reasonably priced, especially for expensive repairs. Have you ever compared their prices with competitors? I saved $900 by using a competitor for a new AC compressor. Sumter Tire was the highest price among 3 other shops.
