When we rented a few weeks ago there were two in that home, but remember you can't shut 'em off!!

But they are nice.

How much are they charging for these?

You can put an optional dimmer on to diffuse the light

Solar Tubes

Last Thursday, we had three solar tubes installed in our Lantana model - a 14'' in the kitchen area, a 14" between the dining and living area, and a 10" in the guest bath aka "the cave". Frankily, I had rather high expectations and my expectations were exceeded. The installation, by the Solar Guys, was professional and efficient. You will be amazed! Lark

Do you feel led lights are a good alternative to solar lights?

I'm intrigued by these solar tubes. Is there a showroom somewhere where one can observe them firsthand? Thanks.

I had a solar tube installed in my laundry room in another home I owned in Ocala and it was there for 5 years when we moved. It was great for a room with no windows, you would have thought a light was on! The Solar Guys on 441 did the work and were wonderful, we also had two solar fans installed by them for the attic and they worked great too, never an issue with any of it.
Just be advised about where you put them. When there is a full moon you will have light coming thru them in the middle of the night as well :-) so I would avoid bedrooms.

We too have a new Iris in Sanibell and are thinking about solar tubes. Have you noticed any additional heat in the room or has it been to cool? We are in Colorado but will be visiting next week. Also, any cost info will be helpful.
Thank you in advance
