Funny, I just bought one 5 minutes ago. It wasn’t easy. I want it ASAP, and I wanted a particular make, model and size. But I was willing to settle for plan B. Walmart, Sams Club snd Best Buy are the options and they all carry the TV but it was not available until Friday for pickup and Delivery/setup (Bestbuy only) wasn’t available Until June 18. I opted to drive to Ocala (21 miles) to get it. Not a problem, just saying order early. Amazon had the same make and model, same price but had a high number of broken screens according to their reviews. Congratulations on your house!

Hey all. Electronics can seem overwhelming. Can’t believe Comcast just drops off equipment for you to figure out.
I have Amazon Prime and Amazon has a lot of great TV deals. They deliver to your door. They have warranties. If you need internet get Centurylink. But I was at the ATT store at Sumter landing and they have a packages 100Mb for about 50$. That’s a good deal. I may change to them.
Get a SMART TV. I say again get a Smart Tv. It should have all the current apps like Netflix and Amazon and others. Get a TV with as many HDMI inputs as possible and an optical input.

I've used Amazon and Costco. With Costco you get double the standard warranty and they have free tech help. Last time I used Amazon the TV came with White Glove service, with delivery came free set up and took away the box.

Agree! Best Buy is probably you best choice for selection, price, service and more. You might be able to save a few bucks at a "big box" store, but once you buy, who do you get for installation and services.

Comcast normally does hook it up for you. This policy is temporary due to Covid 19 - how would you like to be the tech that had to enter a dozen homes a day? It's not that hard, and you don't have to wait for an appointment.

Depending on what you are buying, I would look online. I normally get high end sets, and you can easily save $500-$1,000 searching online. You can even get an extended warranty from any of the reputable online sources.

I never purchase extended warranties. 99 times out of 100 you'll never use it, and it's just an extra fee for the item. For electronics, 99.9% of any failures that will occur, occur in the first 30 days, so you're covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

The chance for an issue to occur is far higher in cheap sets or mid-range sets than in high end sets. All big manufacturers generally have 3 levels of sets available. As the price goes up, so do features, picture quality, and general overall quality.

Those are still good choices. You could also order the TV through Amazon and have Best Buy set it up.

I bought my TV from Best Buy and then my cable company hooked it up when they came to install the cable and Internet.

Best Buy is always good. However, if you buy it there I suggest you get their extended warranty. If you do not, after one year if anything thing goes wrong with the TV they will not even talk to you. The same is true of the manufacturer. The extended warranty adds some extra cost but the TV will will be covered for four years. If anything goes wrong they will fix it or replace it for nothing. Remember two things. You are moving to the lightning capital of the world so purchase a good surge protector, and two you are living in the time of disposable electronics. Quality is not what it use to be.

Comcast will install all at no charge including modem and everything, they did ours, installed 2 cable boxes 2 TVs, we owned our modem and router and they hooked up all and make sure it was working before they left, happy, happy with them, plus I can talk to the remote, DVR stores a tremendous amount of recordings. We went through other services but glad that we switch to Comcast, recommend not to sign up on the phone but go to the Comcast store located on the SW side of 441 and Rolling Acres Rd.

If your purchasing larger then a 65” and wall mounting it - and don’t want to do it yourself - I highly recommend Bob’s TV. Excellent customer service - extremely knowledgeable about everything TV in this area.

We purchased an 86” LG from Bob’s and had them wall mount it. We got a few accessories from them and they hooked all that stuff up as well as giving us a tutorial on how to use all the new equipment.

We ran into a user error problem within the first few days. They came out to sort it right away - no charge.

Yes expensive - but as we have all learned - u get what u pay for.
