I've lost TVs to lightning here in Florida, now I have my big smart TVs plugged into APCs, so far so good.

I've bought from both Best Buy and Costco. Both are good but Costco is definitely cheaper with a better warranty.

I've used Amazon and Costco. With Costco you get double the standard warranty and they have free tech help. Last time I used Amazon the TV came with White Glove service, with delivery came free set up and took away the box.

Wish we had a costco somewhere around here. Does not seem likely they will open a store here.

Best Buy

Best Buy is always good. However, if you buy it there I suggest you get their extended warranty. If you do not, after one year if anything thing goes wrong with the TV they will not even talk to you. The same is true of the manufacturer...

You didn't read my post #13. I bought a 75" Samsung TV at Best Buy in 2017 for $1500 and did not buy any extended warranty. In 2019 it went black, would not even turn on. I called Geek Squad, we can come out and diagnose the problem for $99 but will not fix it. When I asked how do I get it fixed, they said you can buy one year membership in Geek Squad for $199, which I did over the phone with a person in Atlanta. A tech came a couple of days later and diagnosed the problem as a dead power board. He came back 4 days later with a new board for $175 and $50 for labor.

My motto now is, if it goes out again, I'm buying an LG 75" smart TV for $799. I have LG washer and dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave hood and dishwasher all purchased at Best Buy in 2017 and '18 and they all work great!! Never buying Samsung again and my 2012 65" Vizio in the bedroom has never had any trouble.

It's a one hour drive down I-75 to Wesley Chapel exit SR56 to the west or to the right. It's next to Tampa Outlet Mall. The Outlet Mall has a good selection of stores, last time there I got a pair of New Balance blue sneakers for $60 that I've seen here for $120. Also five miles back across I-75 is Wiregrass Outdoor Mall, has a Macys and Dillards and the usual mall stores, but it's all outside like a city street.

Wiregrass at Wesley Chapel is like walking in a city from the 60's, but it can get hot if you go during the summer.

Last television I bought was about 3 years ago I shopped around and found what I wanted at Best Buy but it wasn't in stock and would have take 3 or 4 days to get. I found the a slightly different one, same brand, bit better model, in stock at Sam's Club for the same price so I bought there.

It's a Samsung Smart TV it's only 32 inch because it's in my bedroom but I love it. I put an Amazon Fire Stick on it and that gave me even more viewing options.

Go to Best Buy first ask all your questions then shop around

If you are a veteran go to Shop my exchange.com you can order one from the PX. No tax or delivery fees and quite a savings.

Thanks for the info. Been waiting for the end of social distancing before we go exploring.

We go to Sams weekly but do like Costco better but until there is one in the neighborhood not worth the membership cost.

Have a whole list of places to go Orlando and Tampa including the Italian bakery we keep hearing about.
