And my other observation cannot be tested either----Let's say we give our children the Varicella (chicken pox) vaccine. We just give it and that is that. What we DO NOT do is test them every other day for Varicella antigen, like we are doing with athletes for COVID. And what would we find if we did? Same with flu shots, which are far, far less effective than either Varicella or COVID vaccines? Do we test those vaccinated every day for the flu???

It would make a lot more sense to just vaccinate, then ONLY test those who develop symptoms later.

100% agree.
Side effect?......it would remove too much of the fear factor being deployed today.

Side effects of the vaccine? Mostly a sore arm for a few days, a few outliers with a myriad of other symptoms, most of which are probably placebo effect/somatization.
But there is one poster who will come back with his "100 million had serious side effects and 2 million died from the vaccine", which we know is a crock, so I'll put it out there first so he doesn't have to repeat that nonsense.

My first shot my arm was sore that night and the next day, and I felt the same way I usually feel when I -think- I might be about to come down with a cold - but don't actually come down with it. Just a little blah, not my usual perky self.

The second shot my arm was sorer than in the first, and I felt a little achy in general but nothing a single ibuprophen couldn't fix.

Neither shot was even remotely as bad as the Shingrix shot, and neither shot's side effects was even close to almost bas bad as a migraine headache.

Totally and completely tolerable, though obviously not fun.

The positive cases were among 26 crew members and one passenger on the Carnival Vista, which is carrying over 1,400 crew and nearly 3,000 passengers, the board said in a statement. The ship arrived Wednesday in Belize City.

27 people aboard Carnival cruise test positive for COVID-19

Wow, 99.98% of the crew were vaccinated, and 26 of them got covid.

It's a pandemic of the unvaccinated I tell you! (sarcasm)

How could this happen?

Obviously, someone boarded the ship and already had covid, most likely a crew member. Maybe all the crew got Pfizer shots? Maybe some of them forged a vaccine card to keep their job?

This post will go on forever either you go on a cruise or don’t end of discussion!
I really don’t care either way, no one is twisting arms either way.

I’ll take those odds anytime. More people probably caught the flu onboard.
Testing positive for Covid is not a big deal, we all might have had it during the last 18 months and not have known it. If you are worried, stay home

Herd immunity

Herd immunity will never happen with this type of virus.

So that’s just it, the vaccinated are spreading it more, since they have milder cases, thus not staying home in bed, but are up out and about more. Maybe it’s more of a pandemic of the vaccinated?
Don’t get me wrong, I support vaccinations, just trying to be rational in an un-rational America.

COVID Test Validity

I am very uncomfortable with the universal acceptance of the validity of every COVID test. Way too many variables in the process of manufacture, transport, application, and reporting of results.

In the situation where the DEATH data reporting system either cannot or will not distinguish between a death BY covid and a death WITH covid, how much credence should we put in the reported results of 'COVID tests'.

Marine1974 08-14-2021 07:26 AM

I would call the hospitals in states , yes whole states , that have no ICU beds available especially pediatric beds .

Your business but why post if you do not care one way or the other?

dboyd29 08-14-2021 08:19 AM

Has anyone ever stopped to think that maybe it’s the test?

Emkay56 08-14-2021 08:25 AM

Or maybe, just maybe the vaccines don’t really work😳 So tell me again…why should we get vaccinated?

Over 90% of those in the hospitals and those who have died were unvaccinated.

CMcCord 08-14-2021 08:39 AM

I wish you would. Call the states and get the information first hand. It is unfortunate that we are getting our information through the filter of a political media and online news sources. Why you are at it, find out how many of the hospitalized are legal citizens. I'm curious.
