I _still_ HATE traveling east. I.E. Spring forward. 6 hours to Germany takes a couple days to get sorted. Coming back home west after a trip to Europe is a walk in the park(Fall back).

The exception is China. I don't care which way you go, 12 hours time change tends to make you a zombie for a few days.

Leave the time one way or another and I prefer light in the evening. It's stupid to keep flipping it.

I’ve done the Europe thing, never China. A seven year old, seated in the same row, traipsing to the bathroom every 30 minutes was more difficult to deal with than the time change. I prefer light in the AM so how do we make everyone happy?

Switch to GMT. Seriously. "See you at 1500" It works, everywhere.

Kiddos can shift the bus schedule ahead during winter.

The Senate has passed legislation making DST permanent in 2023! Next up the House has to pass it, then the President signs it and we can all stop suffering ...

At least that is my so humble opinion.

That is nuts. In this climate life is better in the cool morning. Who wants to extend an overheated afternoon? The last time this was tried was in 1977 by Jimmy Carter. For those of us in the western part of time zones winter sunrise did not happen until almost 9:00 AM. Insane. Children waiting for school busses in the dark of night every morning. Particularly dangerous on rural roads in rural school districts. More stranger danger too, with little children out in the dark.

That would be nice, but good luck on them doing anything good for the people.

Not all countries change their clocks. There are at least nine countries that I can think of that do not recognize or change their clocks for DST.

I can barely remember catching the bus and it not being dark in the morning. Loved coming home to have more daylight for time to play.
Like others have said this idea had been brought up/shot down so many times so only “time” will tell on how it goes.

Apparently everyone wanted it, and then hated it.

Also on the state level, Florida sent a bill to Washington to eliminate DLS a couple years ago.

It works for me, I hope they pass it.

Let’s see if Pelosi puts in any pork before the vote. We haven’t had a stand alone bill presented in years.

Sad

I am grieving.

Dark mornings, forever.

The sun shining when I am ready for bed many months of the year.

Deprived of the ability to enjoy sunset and then twilight for many months of the year.

School children waiting for buses in perpetual darkness most of the year, though they would have both left for school and come home in the light if this had not been done.

I think it is a horrible thing.

I have other reasons to consider living abroad but this certainly has added to my list.

The horror of a world where there are fewer sunsets to be seen, where mornings are always dark. I am so sad.

I would like it to pass, no more changing the clocks all over the house, the thermostat, the microwave and especially the huge clock way up high near the cathedral ceiling...if you have one of these...you feel my pain.lol

One approach would be to redesign all the clocks so that they drift the correct amount (a tiny bit) every day. The we never need to make the entire change on one day. But, I expect that might not be practical :)

Just can't avoid some political statement can we.

It was a fun little nonsense post, and someone had to bring in politics.

Oh well...
