Jokes aside. You are correct. We have been raised with many biases. We will likely all insert those biases at some point, BUT we don’t have to be complacent and stay stagnant when the world around us provides us new information about our behavior.
"The tragedy of life is not found in failure but complacency. Not in you doing too much, but doing too little. Not in you living above your means, but below your capacity. It's not failure but aiming too low, that is life's greatest tragedy." ~ Benjamin E. Mays "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." ~ Martin Luther King, Jr. "Complacency is the forerunner of mediocrity. You can never work too hard on attitudes, effort and technique." ~ Don Meyer[/QUOTE] Good quotes. |

Mailman
The US mail carrier: Ok I know it’s a homophone (not sure if we can use the term “homo” anymore in front of words). But we can’t call a mail carrier a female carrier unless you are Bud Light? So Why not call the US mail the US letter processing unit? Females will not be slighted by the evolved term?

Simply refer to me as Young and Handsome or as most people do, "Hey you". |

As far as ducking in and out…some of us still work and don’t have hours to waste on here replying to endless daily rants about roundabouts, bad drivers and snowflakes. Boring too. I like to really dig my heels (pun intended as an accessory to your shoe comment) into commentary by racists of many types. |
