My wife and I played both Silver Lake and Chula Vista last week and the greens were absolutely horrendous. Both courses have been completely renovated recently, including new greens with the latest hybrid grass being used on the Championship course renovations. You literally were better off using a pitching wedge on the greens than a putter since the grass was so long and uneven. Today I played Tierra Del Sol and the greens were outstanding. Tierra has the same hybrid grass, which proves the hot summer weather can’t be used and a reasonable excuse. I’m not sure what’s going on with the Executives, but it’s totally unacceptable.

I recently started sending an email to the Director of the Executive Courses on the conditions after I play a course. Not sure if it will help, but he can't say he wasn't aware.

In my opinion, over the last five years, at least, the greens you mentioned and a few more have deteriorated each year. When they do something to them, they come back the same or worse. I contacted Donald, and he assured me they are doing everything they can to improve.
