If you go to thevillages.com there's an announcement about the new Village of Bradford and a map showing a future championship golf course just south of the villages.

Here is a picture of only part of the course. At least it gives you the general location.

It is supposed to be just north of the Okahumka Service Area (Rest Stop) along the Florida Turnpike East of Warm Springs Ave.

Good luck trying to find it. Was told that it would be completed by the end of 2019 and now it looks like a couple of years down the road.

One 18 hole Championship Course and no additional Executive Courses in the works. Move houses, less golf, makes sense.

To stop the slice, move your right hand to the right, flex your left knee a bit more, relax your glutes totally, inhale in the back swing (after you have slowed it down of course), and exhale on the down swing. Now, be certain to accelerate just prior to striking the ball, or in your mind acceletate after hitting the ball, and oh yea, look at the ball with your left eye only. Regardless of what happens after all of the alterations, drink beer.

I'm still wondering how people south of the Turnpike will get golf cart access to this future championship course. Go all the way up through Brownwood and back around???? Another future bridge over the turnpike? Unfortunately, golf is a declining sport and the new developments seem to reflect that trend.

We're keeping the location a secret so the folks up north don't take all of the tee times. It's an amazing course! Play it every chance I get.

If you are going south on Morris/Warm Springs, it is right on the south side of the big church. It is under construction.

Another bridge over the turnpike will be built next to the existing cattle bridge, south of the service plaza. It will enable vehicles and golf carts to cross.

The existing cattle bridge just south of the plaza is planned to be converted to cart use.

" The second Turnpike bridge will be built a few miles to the south near the Okahumpka Service Plaza. This pathway will connect both golf cart and vehicle traffic to future areas, including land recently acquired in Leesburg."

Life in The Villages

This would also give the new Villages north of the turnpike access to amenities to the south.

WHAT!?? Golf a declining sport? Say it isn't so, or the multitudes who moved here to take up the game just might think you're serious.:duck:

History has not repeated itself. The first new homes for sale south of 466A were model homes on Braddy Ct. in Sanibel in August 2011. Bonifay CC courses Ft. Walton and Destin opened two months later in October and Pensacola opened nine months later due to delays caused by a flood.

Do you live south of the Turnpike?
