Not so fun though, is when your pick, the filly Eight Belles (only the 40th filly to ever run the Derby), breaks both front ankles at the end of the race (after taking second)...and has to be immediately euthanized.

Especially when you could see something happening, with all of the people quickly showing up within sight of your box seats, but never imagined (it obviously wasn't being announced)...it was something that bad. :(
