Well, it was a big day in the Casa de Nucky Today! It's official, I'm OLD! My hearing aids were installed today and I am so sorry I NOTHING but waited just like I waited when I needed Cadillac Surgery on my I Balls! It really is something else. I can hear feet shuffling on the floor, the sound of a tear of Scotts Hand Towel coming outta the wrapper. Car Keys rattling and stuff that I'm been missing for many moons. There are gonna be many new experiences. My wife has a Beautiful Voice, I found that out today, I also have a Black Eye :pray: from mentioning it. :1rotfl::1rotfl: She's a Peach She Only Belted Me Twice! :1rotfl::1rotfl:

The TV volume went from about the 30 range to about 8. Not too shabby! :blahblahblah: :icon_wink:

I know this may be NOTHING but a surprise and I never knew that your ears had anything to do with your balance other than your inner ear but I almost went over like Humpty Nucky several times yesterday after I got the Hearing Eggs!

What a strange sensation and of course I'm the first one to describe it the way I did when I called the hearing Doctor. It lessened as the day wore on but there is going to be a learning curve with these babies. I'm really into it and grateful and encouraged to say the least.

My hearing aids do NOTHING for me. I've had (SLOWLY) progressive hearing loss since birth, got my hearing aids only 10 years ago. They're high-tech in-ear aids, with a telephone button that eliminates background noise, blah blah. When they clog up with wax, they act as earplugs. So I have to take them out and clean them in the middle of dinner, or in the check-out when the cashier is trying to ask me something. The battery dies at the worst moments too.

So I just don't bother to wear them now. I'm so used to having "bad" hearing, it's easier to just tell people to face me when they're talking to me so I can read their lips.

Or tell them to ENUNCIATE and speak one word at a time. They don't have to speak louder - just clearer.
