Oh, okay......I haven't gotten that far yet. My second nap was 2 & 1/2 hours long!! My husband said he checked in to see if I was still alive at one point. That is NOTHING like me to sleep like that. I guess I answered my own question as to what it was I needed today. Maybe tomorrow I'll have more energy. That's if I can sleep tonight now - lol.

Taltarzac725 10-25-2018 06:09 PM

I was standing in line at the Rialto Theater here in the Villages waiting to get into one of the Frightfest Alfred Hitchcock movies. This is at Spanish Springs. A grandpa and his maybe 14 year old boy were ahead of me and the grandpa pointed out to the kid that they had a documentary on Transformers. And they started to buy advance tickets to it and I had to keep from laughing as the ticket taker had to explain that this was not about the Transformer toys and various Mark Wahlberg and other stars movies.

I had to pitch in and not for NOTHING that this was a documentary about transvestites or something like that.

The ticket taker had tried to explain that this was about a person transforming. But that grandpa was a bit embarrassed I suppose.

It is about a man becoming a woman or maybe a woman becoming a man.

Definitely NOTHING I want to see. Thanks for the heads up. Nice of you to be concerned enough to speak up and explain to the grandpa.

Okay, I don't know exactly what you're shaking your head about, but I found 2 things in the Costco thread alone. One, there is such a thing as bacon perfume. Maybe that would be a good Christmas gift for you to give Mrs K - lol.

Also, NOTHING may have to prove for a second time what view count is all about.........:sigh:

The ticket taker was quite tongue-tied. I have been going to the Rialto a lot this month and feel that they might be getting to know me. So I said something.

NOTHING but Alfred Hitchcock movies for the most part except First Man. They put that only at the Rialto. :(

I saw your posts about the Hitchcock movies that they were showing there. NOTHING but cool that they run things like that. I used to love watching Alfred Hitchcock Presents on television and have seen most of his movies. Good stuff.

Yeah, I haven't been out tonight, but last night it was NOTHING but gorgeous. In fact, I was thinking if I had one extra ounce of energy last night I was going to post - are you guys seeing the same moon I am? Lol. It was so big and beautiful on my drive home that I just sat in the driveway in my car for awhile and looked at it while I was playing some music. It must be cloudy out there tonight because usually it will light up the whole back of our house casting a beautiful stream of light across the deck and into our bedroom that has a bank of windows along that wall. But tonight it looks NOTHING but dark out there.

Oh my goodness, NOTHING but funny or sad or crazy......I'm not sure what?! One time when we were visiting, my husband's male cousins took him there to see what the night life was like in TV. Good thing I trust those guys - they came home with some stories :ohdear:

But it NOTHING but brings out all the crazy. Although watching tv I'm starting to think it might be television that is rotting people's brains.

You're right. We have always noticed that no matter where I have worked whether in hospital or retail. NOTHING brings out the crazies like a full moon. In fact, we had a truly crazy one in our store last night right before closing. I'm glad the store manager closes with me at night - he is about 6'5" and a lot younger than me. I kind of felt sorry for the person but was scared at the same time. He got up to approach her to see if he could help her and she took off out the door. You just don't know what can happen sometimes when you approach people like that. It really is sad that so many of them have no where to go with the closing of mental institutions so many years ago. But I know you mean more normal kind of crazy too, if you can call it that.

Abby10 10-25-2018 07:37 PM

We are getting close to 9000 posts. Wonder if we will make it to 10,000 by the end of the year along with our 200,000 views? That would be NOTHING but a great Christmas gift to hit both goals by year end.

I just thought of something else that would make for a better Christmas gift though - having tomwed back as a regular poster. NOTHING more important than relationships, even ones based on NOTHING. Miss you, tom.....hope you are doing well.

Normal is NOTHING but a moving target. What was normal 50 years ago is looked upon as weird today. What is normal today wasn't even thought of 50 years ago.

Yo Que Pasta! That Normal today and 50 years ago thing sorta ties in with that blonde lady from NBC who was on Fox a while back. She is having a little difficulty explaining what she meant if she really gets the chance, I dunno, who gives a hoot. She is not worth worring about so if she hurt others which I think she did, screw her. I see my pal Al Roker got his feathers ruffled so it must be something, I really don't have the whole story.

Getting the Santa gear spruced up tomorrow in an early super early preparation for the big trip. I have to make sure this baby fits or get it right no matter what it takes. I miss being on here throughout the day but without the Main Home Page its just N.F.G. to surf under today's posts. If it doesn't feel good I'm out and I'm a no lika the way this is for now.

Hope your all doing goodly. Hope to be back to normal soon, I think its been about a week it just feels like a lifetime. NOTHING but time running slowly this week.

I am finding that everything electronic is depressing, the news, television programs, social media etc. I try to stay away from the controversy and stay in NOTHING and I am unfriending more and more people on FB for posting crap I don't want to see. I am keeping only my closest friends and family. I am happy when I am out and about with real live people which is the best thing about The Villages as there are lots of opportunities.

These are a couple of really good posts. So much has changed and I don't think necessarily for the good. I know our parents probably said the same thng and they were right. Before television we played more board games and cards which led to much more interaction with one another than watching a show on tv. The more advanced we become it seems, along with the positives, come many negatives as well. It's great being able to see family pics on FB and other means in an instant or to facetime or skype with family members no matter where they are, but like you said I see a lot of ugliness that I wouldn't if I was meeting up with the same people in conventional ways. I don't have a FB account for that reason but thanks for the reminder because for the sake of staying connected with some old classmates I thought about it. But I think I'll just continue with texting and emailing them and hopefully meet up again in real life. Which leads me to your last sentence, fw, the statement that stuck out for me the most. There's NOTHING that beats real live experiences with no electronics involved......NOTHING.

Abby10 10-26-2018 07:50 AM

Sorry, I'm rambling this morning but wanted to add this regarding fw's statement about electronic anything being depressing. Lately I've found myself listening to a lot more music than anything else. I don't watch much television at all, rarely look at social media, even cut down listening to much news other than highlights of the day. I think the music has been a real positive in turning some things around in my life and making it more fulfilling and productive and positive.

This may all mean NOTHING to any of you but just throwing it out there.

Some music for the NOTHING crowd. This movie is really good!! Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper - Shallow (A Star Is Born) - YouTube

I saw it a few days ago and a small part was interrupted when a lady close by me had her cell phone ringing for what seemed like a few minutes with the Mamma Mia song. So, I got two musicals for the price of one.

I could not hear that part of the movie as my lizard brain took over for a little bit and I was not focused on the movie but on its interruption like some other audience members.

Does give me an excuse to go see it again though.

I have chatted with some of these celebrities on Facebook's message boards and they are just as mistake prone as the rest of us. Thankfully, for them and for those of us who really like some of their work, their agents seem to keep tight reins on them.

Throw away a $50 million contract because you cannot keep your mouth shut seems quite a lesson to learn.

Well forgot the NOTHING needed.
