I kind of thought this might be a slow day so now you may all end up sorry that you left me to my own devices. No whining please.

I'm thinking on days like this we should have a NOTHING radio station. Any NOTHING can be the DJ. I'll go first -

So here's some "smooth", relaxing music for all of you over-turkeyfied NOTHINGS who can't seem to pull yourself off the couch today -

Santana - Smooth ft. Rob Thomas (Official Video) - YouTube

BK001 11-23-2018 03:07 PM

I had some turkey leftovers for lunch today and immediately went to Trytophania. I looked for Nucky but did not see him there. I had nothing but turkey dreams. So ... until next year. Yawn!

Hope you all enjoyed your meal and followed my no politics advice.

BK001 11-23-2018 03:10 PM

Sitting here on my lanai with coffee and pondering nothing more important than is it warm enough to jump into my pool?

I actually just had some leftovers too and now I feel like doing NOTHING - maybe NOTHING but a nap is in order. Packing may have to wait until later.......

Since you are still working, a double Nothing nap is so well deserved on your day off. Enjoy.

Taltarzac725 11-23-2018 04:14 PM

On my "date" this afternoon, "we" saw most of the new Coen Brothers movie-- The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018) - Rotten Tomatoes

NOTHING but amusing even if all these stories have twist endings.

You and my husband both - slept all day, didn't you?!? :ohdear:

Well to be honest, I could have too. I slept sound for an hour and a half. The only reason I got up when I awoke was because I had gravy - sauce to us non-Italians- on the stove all day and had the fixin's to make lasagna for dinner. Figured if we were gonna eat sometime tonight I better haul myself out of bed and get moving. Some of us have NOTHING but responsibilities even on our day off. :ohdear:

You say that like it's a bad thing.. :1rotfl:

I fulfilled my responsibilities for the day. I got the furniture moved. That's NOTHING but an accomplishment for the day after Thanksgiving.

What with the quotation marks, Tal? Should we NOTHING but read between the lines? Sure hope you had a good time. :)

I want to know why they only saw "most" of the movie. Did the call of the wild draw them away before the movie was over? NOTHING but good for you, Tal.. :coolsmiley:

Oh right, I forgot, you had one little thing on your list today. Poor thing......no wonder you're so tired. :ohdear:

My husband had doctor's orders to do NOTHING today but he didn't say to sleep all day. He better not keep me awake tonight. I have to work tomorrow. Now that's when nobody messes with my sleep. :boxing2:

Juanita is one of my phlebotomists. I did platelets today. I have known her a very long time. She is married with two twenty something kids. She was not on duty today but did make the phone call a few days ago reminding me of the appointment today. I think I crossed paths with Juanita when her kids were still under ten or so around 2007. NOTHING but good though for the most part.

I probably know thirty or more other phlebotomists I have had over the years at One Blood or Life South.

This was my 23rd donation in 2018 so I only have one more allowed in 2018. They only allow 24 a year per Federal regulations. CFR - Code of Federal Regulations Title 21

Quote:

(e) Frequency of plateletpheresis collection. (1) The donor may donate no more than a total of 24 plateletpheresis collections during a 12-month rolling period.
Some of my donations were whole blood so I will have to check into that.

I'm gonna give you a pass on forgetting your NOTHING, although K probably won't, but only because I want more details. So you explained the "date" part but what about the most of the movie part? Why didn't you see all of the movie?

The movie was too long for the period in the donation chair. NOTHING but over 2 hours and 13 minutes.

They have Netflix at One Blood. I have it at home too though.

I added a NOTHING. The movie is an anthology of six stories directed by the Coen Brothers. It is like Quentin Tarantino wrote some of these though.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs starts with a singing cowboy who is NOTHING like he seems.

Today was another wonderful day. We went and selected the perfect tree and then cut it ourselves. We then came home and decorated it. NOTHING but wonderful family time. It's a little cold but not bone chilling and it is supposed to warm a bit tomorrow.

Sounds like NOTHING but a beautiful Christmas story in real life. So happy for you to have this special time together with loved ones. :coolsmiley:

Yes. I really liked that. He is making another movie right now that has some kind of connection to Charles Manson and Sharon Tate. NOTHING but interesting. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - Wikipedia

One of the first books I ever read that wasn't school related was NOTHING but Helter Skelter.. A bit much for my 11 year old mind to digest..

Sounds like something worth checking out. He is NOTHING but one strange dude, but I guess it takes that kind of odd creativity to produce such interesting and different stuff. Whenever I see his films it's like I can't stop watching them once I start, but even when it's over I still don't know if I liked it or not. Don't know of any writer/director that made me feel so conflicted like that.

I was really intrigued by stuff like that too. Probably my first one similar to that was In Cold Blood by Truman Capote.

Helter Skelter loosely translates into Damn, Damn, Damn I forgot My NOTHING!

We have been staying busy with our side project which is a blessing. It's a bit much at times but still, overall I wouldn't trade it for NOTHING. It's funny how you become close to people and how challenging yet rewarding it can be. In a way, it's like having a Father back in my life. My Dad died when I was either 16 or 17.
I made the best of it that I could. This guy is a quick-witted dude.

Yesterday I said wait till you NOTHING but see the Spiral Ham, it's almost as big as one cheek of my butt. Without missing a beat he said to return it immediately because it won't fit in the oven. :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl: Gotta love him. Turned 89 today. Just a remarkable person!

He got a kick outta me coming out with a Big Fire Extinguisher when we lit his candles and I put a ladder near the smoke detector in case we had to pull the batteries. Touche'.

I was just about ready to go to bed because of work tomorrow. But boy, am I glad I checked in before doing so. This is NOTHING but hilarious.......:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

As my husband always says, Nucky, in giving you receive. And as you said, NOTHING but a blessing. Thankful for 2 smart, giving and caring men in my life. :)

Check in with you all tomorrow before work. Good night.

I see you added a line to your post, Nucky. Very funny story indeed. Thanks for sharing. What a great relationship!

Good morning, everyone. It's Saturday, November 24th. When will you be back, fw? We sure miss you but certainly appreciate your effort to keep in touch. It's been heartwarming to hear the events of your day. A great way to begin the holiday season.

I hope you all have more than NOTHING to say today because I got NOTHING else. I'll check in later when I get home. Or maybe I'll surprise you throughout the day, depending on how my day goes. In the meantime, I hope you all have a great one!
