Vandalism at Fox Run Golf Course and Doggie Doo Run Run (DDRR) probably last night. Talked to some golf course manager who handed me the smashed up bird houses from DDRR and said he had found one of the large polished stones missing and then had two of the four after I found one very close to the DDRR fence but on the other side. I had to maneuver the probably 12 lb rock up the wire fence squares with one hand until I got it to the top. These have a figure of a golfer on them. Or, the one I picked up did.
The golf course manager mentioned quite a lot of vandalism. Kind of stinks and not for NOTHING. Busy with family surgery and other stuff today. So, I am late to NOTHING. NOTHING significant as far as the surgery goes. Some ****ed off people at the dog park because of the juvenile actions of breaking apart bird houses. Probably kids letting off steam but risking their futures if they get caught. These are very nice people for the most part who own Doggie Doo Run Run. I do hope they reported it to the police and that the Fox Run Golf Course people did the same. |

Home sweet home, Nucky. So glad to hear that you and the better half arrived safe and sound.......and to great weather to boot from the sounds of it. How can it get any better than that? What a long ride that was.......can't wait to hear the details.
Can't believe I'm sleeping in so late. Three nights of 8+ hours of sleep - unheard of for me! I guess I NOTHING but need it because I seem to be feeling much better. Even with the rain my sinuses are hardly acting up at all and I haven't had to take any meds for the last 3 days. Hubby's home today and has more plans for us. This time it is doing some of our continuing ed lessons together. barf He has such wonderful "date" ideas..........:1rotfl: Today is Saturday, December 29th. Looking forward to a happy and healthier New Year for all of us and our loved ones. |

I hope Nucky has a good trip back the Villages. My last traffic ticket was in the far west of Texas about 50 miles east of El Paso, Texas just outside of a small town in the late Spring of 1996. I recall the female officer asking me if I had any weapons on me. I did have some in the trunk but certainly NOTHING within reach. I was travelling from the Santa Rosa, CA area and went through parts of Los Angeles as well as the Grand Canyon, Meteor Crater, Albuquerque, and had stopped to rest in Van Horn, Texas. I took a very meandering trip around Texas going to places in Texas I had not been in yet or through like San Antonio and Austin. Was alone in all these wanderings. This journey was about a week or so. I had started to speed a bit on my way out of Van Horn. Van Horn, Texas - Wikipedia Space dreams boost tiny Texas town - Technology & science - Space - New Space Race | NBC News I see that space civilian travelers could be blasting off from not too far from Van Horn. I do remember the man who attempted the carjacking as a white slender guy in dark slacks and a white shirt. Maybe about 5' 6" if that. Clean shaven and maybe around 35-45. He was running to a large RV when I was backing up. There were about six other vehicles in the rest stop. All dark though at 2 in the morning. |
Good morning.. NOTHING planned for today. Expecting another wind storm with rain. So I'll grab some coffee and my Kindle and occupy the couch.

Won't it be nice when we're both in Florida down the road and we won't have to deal with this ongoing crappy weather? It's mild here today though and the sun is out. The problem is it doesn't last. Hope you don't end up with any flying pigs in your yard this time....:1rotfl: |

About 8 years ago we actually were fighting fires there at Hurricane Ridge. Washington is certainly diverse. We have the mountains on the Olympic Peninsula. The Cascades which run down the middle of the state and then the high desert on the east side. Something for everyone. |

If you guys would like to take an educated guess do you think the trip was Jacked Up because of Migratory Humanoids heading South or Holiday traffic or the Combo Plan? The funniest thing that happened that I keep playing over and over again in my head is our youngest Granddaughter who just loves her Grandma said something that was NOTHING but amazingly funny. Grandma slept with Granddaughter one night and they were reading stories and signing and playing with toys and all the good fun stuff when Grandaughter says to Grandma with a straight face...:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl: Grandma your toenails are Jacked Up. 4 years old, they are like sponges, where in the hell did she pick that up? Now anything that is marginal on The NOTHING Thread will be hereby decried to be Jacked Up! :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl: Please add to the Manifesto. Mrs. Nucky could have the entire world collapsing and the hair and nails every 3 to 4 weeks. Where do these kids get this stuff? More later Gators. So grateful to be here, I know you know what I mean. :mademyday: |

As I read what you guys are saying on here and also on the forum in general, I'm thinking the best strategy for us might be to come down in early December and start our half year then, spending Christmas in TV. Maybe we can avoid most of the holiday (Thanksgiving and Christmas) and snowbird traffic by doing that. Of course once we are all set up we can just fly back and forth, but the first year we'll probably drive down and leave a car there.
We've got NOTHING but a busy year ahead of us trying to figure all of this out, not to mention the downsizing of stuff we want to continue with up here. So much can change in that time too......I'm a planner, but if I've learned NOTHING else, it is to hold those plans loosely. |

Good idea. Remember: “Mann Tracht, Un Gott Lacht” is an old Yiddish adage meaning nothing but, “Man Plans, and God Laughs.” |

I know a few Yiddish saying, can't repeat them but I know some. OY VEY! If you don't embrace the Golf Cart part of The Villages if possible then I think a person is missing out on a major fun factor. On the other hand, I totally understand the real safety concerns of many, which I believe are valid. For us though Zoom Zoom Zoom and try to not get Jacked Up! :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl: She didn't pick this up from me because I'm not allowed to talk to any of the Grandchildren until they are NOTHING but 21. Ho Ho HO. B.S. |
